  • 30 year old ladies looking for club advice!!

    Hi everyone,

I'm sure this is the type of question that's posted all the time, so apologies in advance, but I really need some help deciding on which clubs/bars/lounges best suit our tastes

Myself and my two best mates are heading to Vegas in February for a girls only trip - we're all 30 and not the big hardcore clubbers we used to - we just want to have a good dance in not too crowded bars/lounges where we won't have to fight 50 people to get served at the bar and can have a good time with people around our age. We like Top 40, old school 90's dance music, but not R&B/Techno. One of my friends is a cheesy old school lover!! Where would you recommend? We arrive Saturday and due to jetlag don't think we'd manage an all nighter then, so will be looking for Sunday, Monday, Tuesday night suggestions.

I've been to Vegas 3 times before, once a long time ago and can't even remember the names of the clubs I went to, other than Studio 54 - which I loved but have now seen really bad recent reviews (thoughts??). The other two visits have been for friends weddings in a group of couples, so we spent more of our time in restaurants and quieter bars/lounges. I am kinda being relied on by the other two to organise our nights out, so feel under pressure to get it right and not have to go from club to club, queuing and paying to get in and finding we don't like it!! If I tell you that we enjoy the piano bars atmosphere and Studio 54 type music, that may well give you a better impression of what we're looking for.......

    Hopefully someone can help!

If you want the mature crowd, then I would definitely suggest Tao on Sunday
and XS on Monday (which is a laid back industry night)
On Tuesday you can probably chill out and check out Moon (if open) or Ghostbar

Jet is good on Monday & Pure on tuesday however in my opinion, someone who's also in their 30's, they draw a young crowd. XS at Encore is a great choice for sunday & monday nights and I would check out Blush inside the Wynn on tuesday. Both of these club attract a better mix of young & old and you'll fit right in there.

The Voodoo Lounge at the Rio is another great choice for the 30 something crowd and the view is pretty fanatstic as well.

I had a really great time at the VooDoo when I was in my 20's. Loved the view, great vibe and a great mix of people.

I'm kinda worried about the 30 age also. I'm 33...or hmm not sure anymore. I think once you hit 30 you start to forget how old you are. ha ha

Going to Tao and Lavo on Saturday night and hope to not be the old ones in the crowd. Although I've been told I look in the young 20's... Also worried about it being too crowded because of the NBA stuff going on. hmmm...I guess if we don't like it we can go back to our room and put our jeans on and go to a bar!

Yeah Lavo seems like the type of place you're describing. Studio 54 could also still be good for you ladies since you liked it a lot the past times you went. Only reason why they're receiving bad reviews is because most of those reviews are from party goers who are looking for the latest and greatest spots to party and fist pump.

30 is really not old for a vegas club. It's not a college bar.

I like Tao, Lavo, Surrender, Pure and Cat House. Would never recommend Jet nor Studio 54. Jet is a cluster fuck and Studio 54 kinda ghetto. I'm not sure how long its been since you have been. I liked studio 54 years ago but now it is no good. But that is just me.
