Planning a 1st 3 night trip to Vegas on Aug 2nd and would like to find some nice bars/nightlife to get into while avoiding "clubs" and the velvet rope scene. Any suggestions on some good places to hit? Thanks for helping the Vegas virgin out lol

Rhumbar at Mirage apparently gets some recommendations. -
B.O.T.S. (Bar at Times Square) at New York New York is wicked fun - Carnival Court at Harrah's is another.
Other than that, try the Central casino bars at Hard Rock, Palms, MGM. All are pretty good.

We had a good time at Kahunaville in treasure island. Themed drinks, music, bar stools, some tables, bartender bottle juggling contest, pouring shots into peoples mouths for $1 tips. Fun time
