Ok,
So first of all I have to apologise to all JC members who were in town for the mini AOD invasion..... never got to any meets. Vegas can break you man!
Prelude - There were 5 of us going for a friends Bachelor party, including the bachelor himself. The planning for this trip started in January this year and thanks to JC forums, we had a great hassle free time.
Tue - 6/29
3 of us got a ride from a friends bro to the airport. The bachelor and his bro got a ride from the bachelors girlfriend. Our flight was at 10:05am but we all decided to meet at 06:30am so we could have a cigarette and a drink before we checked in. The check in line was long, and I mean super long. We could see it from the Bar at Heathrow airport in London. The boys were getting anxious that we should check in but I had a plan. Carried on sitting and drinking until I saw sweat pouring down the guys faces and then said lets go. We were travelling on Delta and I travel quite frequently for my job so I told the guys to follow me to the Special section reserved for SKY priority members. No lines.......... The guys were quite nervous about checking in this section but not an issue. Tip number one, anyone travelling KLM/Delta/Air France through Heathrow Terminal 4, use the Priority member section, no one asks or checks your membership. Have done it a million times before, even though my status is not elite!
Ok, so one of the guys we were travelling with is the bad luck guy...... never want to gamble with him around because you lose....... never want to talk to a lady with him around because you lose........ never want to be in behind him in a security line because....... you guessed it! He got the old rubber glove treatment to our amusement! Security in Heathrow has 4 lines. As soon as he got into one line, we all ran into another! On a side note, security in Heathrow is a joke. While waiting for the friend who got the rubber glove treatment, I was putting my passport back into my carry on when I discovered a pair of scissors! Long and sharp. I looked around to see if someone had planted them in there but no one was forthcoming. I certainly never put them in there! Now you know What people would think with a brown brother in an airport with scissors........... I located the nearest security person and handed them over, explaining that I'd just come through security. She just asked me which scanner I came through and took the scissors. No other questions or explanation...... weird!
Anyway, after our friend made it through the 'treatment', we headed to duty free, each of us picked up a bottle of vodka or bacardi, and then headed to the pub airside.
Well, we all drank in this bar until 30 minutes before our flight was due to leave. We walked up to the gate and saw that no one had boarded and that there was a delay for 15 minutes before boarding would commence. Q walking to a bar next to the gate. We rolled up to a table, ordered 3 cokes and broke out one of our duty free bottles. Of course this was undercover, so each time the waitress went past, a shot was poured in. Well, after 15 minutes, there was an announcement that there was another 15 minutes delay. So we carried on in the bar for 1 further hour. Bottle one done...... Bacardi.
Finally got boarded and I get sat next to a very big lady. Turns out she was nice but man, was she big! And hungry! When food service started she complained that the lunch was small. So I gave her mine. She got very happy...... I had to keep her sweet as I kept moving in and out of my seat during the flight. 2 of the guys were seated together on one side of the plane and 2 on the other. The nearest to me included the bachelor's bro. Man can he drink........
Delta give free beers and wine during transatlantic flights. So I was happy for an hour or so until I started getting the itch for the hard stuff. I did not want to pay 7 dollars for a shot so 2 of the guys sitting near me opended up another bottle of bacardi and we proceeded to drink this between the 3 of us throughout the flight to JFK. The flight attendants were hot in a milf kind of way........ or it could be that I was just drunk.
On a side note, there was some guy who was sitting in front of my 2 drinking friends who decided to turn around mid flight and tell my friends to shut up.......... big mistake! Drink plus guys with testosterone turn people not normally vicious into dic*s. Ok, so were going to Vegas.... via JFK
Come on dude, unless you are he-man with 24 inch pythons, you don't tell 2 guys drinking to shutup. The guy even told the hot flight attendant. She was cool. Told me to sit in my seat for 10 minutes then I could go back to the guys. She even brought me a beer while the 10 minutes elapased. Anyhow, my friends were not amused with this guys, who resembled a punk kid out of high school and let him know throughout the flight........ ah well, fcuk it. We're going to Vegas. The kid ran as soon as the plane landed. Who cares I thought???? My friends do, who proceeded to chase him and lose him by the time they got off the plane. Damn, you can't take drunk guys anywhere.
Anyway, now we are at JFK, a little intoxicated and about to go through immigration. I must add that in my experience, JFK must have the worst/rudest immigration officials anywhere throughout the United States.
One of the guys doesn't get through. He comes back to me as I was behind him in line and asks for a printout of a form we submitted online before we left for th US. I told him there is no need. I've been to the states a million times, my wife is from the US, so I know......
I go to the same offical and he asks me for the print out. I told him, trying not to slur, that we don't need one. I told him its an online form and submission and I have the form we had to fill out on the plane. No, he wants the online one. What part of you don't need it doesn't he understand. It's not a requirement. He is one of those jobsworth mall cop type of guys. But he has a 'real' gun, so Im not going to mess with him! He tells me to wait while goes and checks. The official in the booth next to him looks over, and is chatting with another one of his colleagues. I hear him say that the guy who is dealing with me is a 'dick'! That says it all.....
Anyway, the Official comes back and tells me its my lucky day and that I don't need the form as its a new rule that has just been introduced. I smell bullsh*t but whatever. I just want to get through.
Get luggage, check through to next flight to Vegas. Pick up a Burger King at the airport and have enough time to get to the gate for the next leg. Now, for all you people from the US, Ive just had a 7.5 hour flight. Now we need to do another one to Vegas which takes around 6 hours. Damn, its just like going back to England again after a short stopover. Flight was smooth and no drinking occurred. We were already falling!
Got to Vegas and had pre-arranged a Limo to the Trump through Presidential. First class service. This was a surprise for the guys and well worth it. Champagne was drunk by the time we got to the hotel, which also included a short drive through the strip. Tipped the Limo driver, who tried to sell me a trip to the stripclub, but I know better. Thanks JC forums.
Got to the check in desk and bagged got 3 rooms, 2 one bedrooms and one studio.
Dumped bags and went downtown. Had food at Hennessey's using a 50 dollar restaurant.com coupon. Bill came to 180, food was average. It was tuesday, so they has a buy one get one free burger offer. Also did a 70 ounce premium beer drink. Man, that hit the spot!
Ok, so its now 1am and time to gamble. Have been up for 30 hours and still pumped.
Saw the Freemont light show which was cool. Went to a few casino's. Gambled, drank and was up when we walked out at 3am. Went back to hotel and crashed.
Next day coming up..............
