  • Table service @ Tao

Hey guys, new here. My name is Melvin. I'm heading over to vegas for my 21st & my cousin's 23rd bday and I wanted to head over to Tao on friday Aug6. I did a search already and gathered some information, but wanted to run things by you guys (sorry if my questions are reposts)

I saw the host to contact is Bob Shindelar for Tao (should i email or call? and when is the best time to hit him up since I'm going Aug6 & is there any other host you guys would advise I contact as well?)

I'm going with about 7 people (3 girls 4 guys) so I assume the bottle min will be 2-3?

I saw the bottle prices for Tao & was wondering which price would I pay because there are two prices on the menu?

Location, I read on the main site that the best spots are the main room, moat area, and cabanas (for a larger crowd) which would be best for about 7 people & what are the price differences with the locations?

What would be a good amount to give my host when I get to the club & do I give him the $$ at the door right when I meet up with him? I was thinking around $100-200, but opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry for asking a lot of questions. I figured I'd do research & gather all my questions and ask at one time rather than spamming the forum with separate posts. Thanks for the help!

You should contact him about a week or so out from your trip. For a group of 7-8, they will usually get you in (w/o cover) figuring about 3-4 people per bottle. Tao does their tables based on min spend and if you want a good table on a Friday then I would figure 3 bottles for a good spot and 5+ bottles for a great spot (on dance floor). He will quote you a min spend and then figure another 20% grat & 8% tax on top of $450+ per bottle (I always figure about $650 per). For the good locations I would figure about $300 - $500 for host grease imo. The hosts at Tao are not as blatant as other clubs hosts in terms of their grease but I always stick with the going rates.

what's up. I just went recently.. got a table too.

To be honest, it's kind of tough to grease for a better table location on a friday or saturday. I went on a saturday and got a decent table location @ skybox. The prices on the menu might be a lil bit out dated. I think a bottle of grey goose is like 525. You're going to have a like 3 bottle minimum I think. Just email Bob now, so you can discuss all the details earlier. I would try to get a table somewhere in the Moat, but that might be tough. If you go earlier before 10pm and let them know you plan on purchasing 4 bottles, you'll get a nicer location on the main floor. I know I'm going again in August, I'm going to book a table that's roped off near the dancefloor. That's where the most "Action" is. If you have a budget, try to get one of the tables on the side. 73 on the map I think.

*bump* .. Didn't want to start a new thread, so figured i'd just ask here.

Hey, so I originally started a thread for table service at Tao for about 7-8 (that grew to 10 people) for my bday, but it has dwindled down to 4, since the other people don't have money for table service. So I was wondering how does this whole guestlist work, because I told them that they can just do guestlist to get in and buy their own drinks, while we get our table & they can probably come chill with us.

For our table service, I was thinking 2 bottles for 4 people (the two girls that are doing guestlist might chip in with $)? Do you think now is a good time to email the host for details? For 4 people, how much should I tip the host? I'm thinking about $150? & I saw that bottles at Tao start at about 450, are these 750mL or liter bottles?

as for those going on guestlist theres going to be 4 girls & 2 guys. Is that a good ratio for guestlist @ Tao?

          Thanks guys for the help
