RAIN VIP hosted bar package

Hi,

I'm considering buying this for July 24th.

What does hosted bar exactly mean?

How should I dress? Casual or Dressy? I'm considering a nice sportcoat, a nice pair of jeans, and black shoes.

Last time I did this (I got the hosted bar at RAIN for Perfecto) I did not have to wait in line at all. Showed the wristband and got escorted past the long ass line to the doorman who checked my ID and sent me to the elevators.

You can also get one that includes a hosted bar for 3 hours at the club of your choice - You just have to purchase it for the corresponding club. This includes 3 hours of all you can drink Vodka drinks with any mixer, including Red Bull. Gratuity is also included in this price, however I still highly recommend tipping if you want quick service and stronger drinks. I greased my bartender $100 up front and got extremely heavy pours and got the time extended for the hosted bar by and hour. He also was giving random shots to some of the ladies and told them my friend and I bought them for them. Pretty kick ass when the bartender works game for you.

The cost for just the VIP express admission is $68 I believe and the Hosted bar package is $130.

So the VIP wristband gets you "express" admission to all 4, but hosted bar only at the one you select?

This is gonna sound stupid, but can you actually carry a drink from one club into another? (I don't recall ANY place letting you in with a drink in your hand, but am prepared to be educated...)

Also, the blurb for Rain's package says:
"Includes Hosted Bar at Rain from 11pm-2am featuring Ketel One Vodka and Perrier-Jouet Champagne, Plus mixers"

Is this all that's included in the hosted bar, or are there other drinks (beer, maybe other booze) also included (I'm assuming no, but one of my boys isn't gonna drink vodka or champs, so he wanted to know if anything else was included here)...

After searching some more, I can now answer this one myself:
[From another (obviously inferior) forum...]:

You get two wristbands. One for VIP access to any of the four clubs. All you will have to do is show your wristband to one of the bouncers and they will immediately let you into whichever club you're trying to get in. These work great for checking out all four clubs and coming and going in between them.

The hosted bar is in fact on the third floor in Rain. It's behind the DJ booth in the skybox area. It's a great area with its own bathroom and bar. The bar is indeed open, but only Ketel One vodka is available along with champagne. Drink as much or as little as you want from 11-2. Its a great deal and a great way to experience all of the Palms clubs.

Still don't know about carrying a drink between clubs, but I suspect this is not allowed...

Take what I'm saying with a grain of salt, but based on my comprehension, you can get a hosted bar + VIP Wristband package for a hundred and something. This means you can get in front of the line at any places, but basically get unlimited vodka and champagne (I think) at Ghost bar (or whatever club you choose). I don't think you can carry a drink between clubs.

As far as the value is concerned I love it. I'm a pretty big Irish lad & can drink quite a lot of liquor.

For the price you pay I can definitely do some damage in 3 hours, not to mention not having to wait in line. Sure it is only vodka served, however you can have pretty much any mixer you want - Redbull included. Hell I can't even get Redbull included with bottle service at some places.

Thanks, that's pretty much what I thought. Good info on the RedBull, since I live on that stuff...

I enjoyed Ghostbar for the view, but not much else. It is really not that big or anything overly spectacular. It is however a bit cheaper to have the hosted bar here.

Playboy was cool, but was extremely crowded.

I actually forgot to check out Moon. I will be checking it out this weekend for sure.

I got my hosted bar at Rain and loved it. The hosted bar area is up on the 3rd floor above the DJ booth and has plenty of room. You can still mingle, but are not packed in like sardines. You also have your own bathrooms! That is always a plus once you break that seal. Just beware of the stairs - they can hurt ya going down em after a few too many

my friends are planning on going to rain and getting the 160.00 wristband which gives you instant entrance and all you can drink.

We have had table service before at Rain and they got us in right away without waiting and had our bottles ready shortly after we sat down.
