  • Lavo - Saturday, July 24th

Staying at the Palazzo and heading to Lavo nightclub on Saturday, July 24th.

Question... I've heard that you can't sit anywhere unless you reserve a table...and that is pretty standard for all clubs.???

I really don't want to stand the entire time???

Also, at this time...July 24th it will be really hot in Vegas. Does that mean it will be hot in the night club? I'd really like to wear jeans with a cute top. I'm not one to wear a skimpy dress like I've seen in pictures. Would this be ok? jeans...or would I stand out and be too hot?

No, Lavo is small because its a boutique club. Most clubs are way larger.

If you dont want to stand, then get bottle service. Or you an go to one of the more upscale clubs like Vanity/ XS / Surrender which feature a sitting area in the outside patio.

I wore my blazer at night during July 4th weekend, and it was nice. Most clubs have climate control now days, and the weather does cool down a lot once the sun is gone.

PS. I dont think females meet dress code if they wear jeans. Refer to spyonvegas.com pics for proper dress code

OP: jeans are fine, but definitely not the norm

        Thanks for the response!

        Bottle service is $450...crazy expensive!

I'll go shopping and see what else I can find besides jeans! I live in a very country part of the US. People don't wear Vegas style stuff here at all! Not even sure if I can find it shopping.

$450 is not bad for Surrender actually.

I don't like the fact that I have to pay to sit down and have a drink... Just doens't seem right to me...but I guess that's the Vegas way.

            How is LAVO anyway?

You can sit, but it's not really in a proper chair.. it's more like on a stage thing.. sorry, I'm really not explaining this well, but it's just next to the walkway, around the perimeter of the dance floor.

I like jeans and a dressy top too, but you don't see many girls dressed like this at the nicer clubs. Most girls are wearing jewel coloured skimpy/sexy dresses and I think you will feel underdressed wearing jeans..

if you have a problem finding vegas style clothes where you are, just get a tube top and wear it as a skirt.. then get stilettos. or get a tunic top and just wear that with no bottom.. you won't feel like you're dressed too skimpy at all in Vegas.

                  Have fun!!

Sounds like you have something against the place?

Not at all. I just prefer the bigger venues. I can go to a smaller venue here at home.

Keep in mind that $450 does not include gratuity (20%) and taxes (8.1%, me thinks).

There are advantages, though - you're usually whisked in the door promptly, no cover, no wait; you have a "secured" area to leave purses, bags; and a place to sit.

Black pants/skirt with heels and a cute top will easily work instead of jeans. I'd think you could find black pants pretty much anywhere. Plus, usually the fabric is lighter than denim, so in theory you'll won't melt as bad. You WILL melt in jeans. Esp in the summer.

You will feel underdressed in jeans. I once went with some girls who did and they stuck out.

As far as free seating, there are some places with quasi seating but nothing reliable. Vanity has some free seats on the patio but not very much. Surrender opens up to ebc so you can sit on ledges etc. surrounding trees.
