more laid back spots

seems almost all the threads in here are about the mega-clubs.
they are fun every once in a while, but not really my scene. I'm looking for some places that:
- you don't have to wait on a humongous line to get in
- don't have to worry about getting turned down from the dress code
- can have a conversation without screaming over the music
- the crowd isn't pretentious
- it's not packed like sardines
- but there is still at least some cute and hot girls
- musically, I like house, electro, and indie dance

some places along those lines I've heard about and have my interest are oshea's, voodoo lounge, the beach (I'm from Florida), center bar, and centrifuge. are those places good for what I'm looking for and what are the best nights? also if you know some other places that fit the bill let me know.

I think the Beach has long been closed.

Now, Centerbar is where you want to go. It's just that, a bar in the center of the casino at the Hard Rock. It's totally open to the casion, so there's awesome people watching both in the bar and out, happy hour from 4-8 (I think every day). Trip before last, we actually spent a whole Saturday night there. We were having so much fun, we totally forgot about going to the club.

Centrifuge is cool too. That's the one at the MGM, right? It's more enclosed than Centerbar, less crowded. The bartenders dance on the bar every few minutes. Cool to some, uber annoying to those of us sitting at the bar. And it's not just the girl bartenders, the guys are up there too. My friend's fiance was a little awkward with some guy's junk in his face while trying to have a conversation.... I would pop in there to pre-game before going out, but not actually hang out in there.

+1 on centerbar - it seemed pretty cheap - though that was at 5 in the morning, but my beer was only $2

last time I was out there I took a peek at Eye Candy and it didn't look too popping, but should I end up at Mandalay maybe I'll give it another change
