Alright, so I'll admit, I just found this site today and it's *ucking amazing! I've spent the last two hours reading through the guides and skimming the boards...

That being said, was hoping to get a little advice on where to stay.

Gonna be heading out the weekend of August 7th and am trying to decide where to stay. Here is my dilema.

I've been to vegas a couple of time and have always stayed at Caesars or MGM. Both have been great, and I like being on the strip. However, I'm looking for a little more party atmosphere this time and was thinking about Palms or HRH.

The only thing that concerns me is that both of these are off strip. Plus I like drinking and talking to women during the day at the pool.

Just trying to mix it up a little...let me know what the PROS think...

Oh, and there are gonna be 4 of us, two guys, two girls, all friends, all looking to get rowdy

i agree Planet Hollywood has good vibe and young crowd,

but I also like the Palms for the vibe and young crowd.
And if it's for August being on the strip might not matter because it gets so freaking hot that walking around might be a bad idea. Also being summer season the pool and the pool crowd factor might be important too. From what I hear Planet Hollywood's pool and the crowd isn't anything to write home about.

That's what I was scared of with PH. That and the closing of Prive'. Plus, going on to Harrah's rewards program. Just not sure that is what I have in mind...

I guess it really comes down to the two standbys (Caesars and MGM) or Palms/HRH?!?!

I definitely think you're right about it being to hot to wanna be walking the strip...didn't think about that
