  • Need advice quick PH Towers or Suites at MGM

I'm organizing a bachelor party for the end of July, prob about 6 guys late 20's to early 30's . I've stayed in Vegas a ton but only at Palms or HR. This time I'm looking to stay on the strip since the bachelor has never been to Vegas.

So I need some advice...here's my thinking. MGM has a solid deal going right now for their suites and has a way better pool with Wet Republic but is way down on the strip. PH Towers has some sick looking rooms and is center strip.

I think the pool is a big priority for us since we're not big gamblers, we're just looking party.

How's the crowd at MGM outside of Wet Republic?

    PH Towers pool and crowd?

    Thanks

I'm not entirely sure, but I'd say MGM Pool > PH Pool.

Crowd at MGM hotel is like the crowd at Mirage. Lot's of families, older people, etc. and it's a lot different than a HRH. PH is in a great location but I haven't stayed there since it was Aladdin but I would think that the crowd there is hipper than before.

Vibe at PH is much more party-centric, and even if you don't gamble, the dealers at PH look like supermodels compared to MGM's half male/half senior citizen dealers. MGM definitely has the better pools though, it's not even comparable. If you're going for a bachelor's party, check out the AAA rates on the 2 bedroom suites at PH towers. They're very reasonable, think ~$300 per night.

I think he is referring to the PH Westgate Towers. Which is non-gaming tower and past the Miracle Mile shops. They have there own separate pool area. I am assuming you can probably use the main PH pool as well.

The casino area especially the pleasure pit do have attractive go go dancers and dealers but dealing 6:5 blackjack of course. You are paying for the eye candy somehow. Since Prive and Living Room are no longer around, the younger crowd might be a little thin compare to the past. Plus with PH now being part of HET and the total reward program, it will probably be more of a mix crowd now.

I haven't stayed at Encore yet so how is the vibe there? I know they have EBC and I also got a good deal on a suite there if I want it. I just don't want the Venetian/Bellagio stuffy crowd. Usually stay at HRH or Mandalay/The Hotel but want to try something different and not in a Flamingo kind of way.

I'm looking into booking the 2 bedroom suite at the PH Towers, but I'm finding that they charge an extra person fee for anything over 2 people! For a 2 bedroom suite?!?! WTH??
We're a party of 5 and at $30 a head for two nights, it adds up!
There's always something waiting at the end of the road, if you're not willing to see what it is, you probably shouldn't be out there in the first place..........

Btw, the PH Towers still have their opening day promo rate.
                      Great rates for their suites!

Don't tell them you're having five people in the room.

I'd go MGM, wasn't impressed with the PH Tower. But like their regular rooms and suites though.
