We stayed in Reno Bally's prior to my first visit to Vegas in 1988. As a newb I loved it. Didn't have $ to gamle w/ but plenty to get drunk every nt., remember a lounge there had a Rod Stewart impersonator (dare I admit I enjoyed it).
We went to Tahoe for an evening all I remember is getting drunk in a bar on the top floor ( beautiful view) of what ever hotel we were in.

Mont Bleu is fun in Tahoe... pretty much any of the casinos are a good time depending on what you're looking for.. If you go to Reno I'd go to either Peppermill or Silver Legacy.. I've always had fun there.

you can stay at my place since I'm never there haha. ......

Back in the day, Harvey's was very nice to me (as a small-to-medium stakes craps player). Then they got taken over by Harrah's and became much more corporate.

In Reno, the Bally's there (became Reno Hilton) used to be pretty decent and the Peppermill (both a little ride from downtown) had some great lounge acts and a cool casino.

        All pretty ancient history, though...
