  • To host or not?

    What's up everybody!

First post here after discovering this cool site! Been doing Vegas for years but the past few trips have been few and far between due to a hectic life. Got a BIG trip planned for the 7/30 weekend and want to make it as fun as possible.

In the past, we've always gotten an indy private host to take care of transportation, club reservations, bottles, etc. I know that their service costs extra but they always claim that "they're best friends with such and such and they'll get me a much better table, etc." Plus having them walk us in without any hassle is a plus.

Has anybody ever tried to contact the club hosts listed on this site for bottle reservations? My only concern is that we intend to go large and I want to ensure that we get the proper attention, table location, etc.

    Thanks for any help!

The host on the site are good. If your wanting people to verify it, youll have to ask about a specific host. I doubt anyone one person has used ALL of the host. Plus, a lot of us have our own host for certain clubs. 95% of the members ONLY use DIRECT host.

Thanks dnix for the heads up. What is the average that people are tipping their nightclub hosts for arranging the table service? I know that it varies per location of table, club venue, etc. but I am really wondering about the top clubs on busy nights. In the past we've always tipped pretty well but I am just curious about others.

Do a search on tipping and youll see why no one is answering. lol I think it depends more on the perception of the individual than the any of the other factors.

Now as for tipping. I received a quote from vanity 900 plus 20% tip 8 % tax added. Now is the tip for the host or the waitress, door man? Who am I tipping????

That 20% probably only covers the waitress/bar back/bus tip. Usually the club host gets their tip separately when seating you. For a good table at a busy club my crew always tips out another few hundy plus separate tips for security/ropers, good bus boys, people just staring at you, dude manning the bathroom line, etc. By the end of the night you could tip out the whole damn place if you wanted to. It's all relative and up to you of course.
