OK so here it is! I'm still drunk but too in love with this place to let the review wait any longer.

Encore Beach Club (EBC) is AMAZING!!!!! Tonight was my third time going to EBC this week but my first going to surrender. EBC is HUGE there are three differnt pools right next to eachother. Each is sepreated by these walk way thingys so you can get from one side to the other. there are also three stripper poll huts (i dont know what else to call them) one for each pool. they are cool for day time but stupid drunk girls at night shouldnt get on them cuz the bottom is water.

EBC has two bars, one by the entrance to Surrender and one main one that also has a casino with it, craps, poker,balck jack, etc.

The cabanas are super cool too. Each one has misters you can turn on and off, a knob that lets you control the volume of the music inside your cabana and a balcony that looks out the strip. There are also two levels of cabanas just like XS.

The DJ booth is half inside surrender and half outside in EBC, you can go back and forth freely but honestly Surrender was not cool. It is SMALL!!!! Like smaller then blush small. The decor is to gaudy, there is one long bar with a snake behind it and as my friend said it is like and after thought to EBC. Thats all i have to say about it cuz i didnt really spend much time in there.

The bartenders are soooooo yummy! oh gosh i loved them! but the servers were not that attractive. Every one of them that i saw were not SUPER hot like say Tao, XS, TRSYT or Jet, they were OK and thats about it.

Tonights DJ was DJTed, he sucked. He played entire songs with WACK beats. Fridays with AOKI and Sundays with Kaskade should be WAY better.

My short and sweet version would be this. Go to surrender but make sure you get a cabana, daybed, or table outside cuz inside is just not worth it at all.

I did post a picture on my facebook that i took from the front of my cabana but you can only really see about 1/4 of EBC.

oh and EBC also has a beach shop and bar and grill that are open during the day so no waiting for your server to order your food and bring it to you, you can get it yourself.

there are also a ton of places to sit down even if you dont buy a table, daybed, or cabana!

Edit! I forgot to say something about the crowd. It was industry opening BUT there are always other people there. Industry people aside, it was a classier crowd, more along the lines of tryst. The people buying tables were not the 21-25 year olds but maybe late 20's early 30's and older. There were some riff raff tho. some of the clothes girls were wearing were so wack i actually asked a girl what she was thinking when she left the house ( i know its mean but i was drunk and she was wearing clothes that looked like they were from the early 90's). There were some really creepy guys.. ones that were staring the entire night and one that "had to" come and tell me that i am "SO GOOD LOOKING" that i shouldnt be with all these "average looking men" REALLY??? REALLY?? you had to say that! THANKS!

It was a super fun night tho!

I've been told Patron for $515. I asked for a full menu from a host but I guess the Mgr told them no dice on sending out menu or prices.

wow now those are some serious hockey invasions! I can't wait for the season to start either.. Bettmen started that rivalry, but we have no reason to like each other since its NorCal vs SoCal :-) Its a good reason for me to give my coworkers shit on a daily basis.

Ha! I don't think you'll find that many Habs fans cluster around Toronto....unless they suddenly bandwagon during the playoffs/aka golf season.

I know someone from O.C. who's legitimately a huge ducks fan. Have they hooked you yet? Between Koivu, Ryan and Getzlaf (nieds is done I think and you can throw in Perry), there's a lot to like.

BTW, how often do mods who don't live in LV head down there? You guys seem to know more than is good for you.

This is the best I could find on short demand. Not my vids. (the first is funny, but not even comparable to when we invade Toronto, the second and third are just...well...I was insanely drunk and ecstatic that night).

the first: plugger from the GTA, but yeah first Indian (well Indo-Canadian NHLer). Let's face it though...I'm better (but too lazy for training camps, etc.).

lol a Linden jersey? hes like a captain from 10 years ago..I m going to go with a "royale" jersey instead.

So I've been prowling these boards for the past few weeks, since I booked my trip to Vegas. I'm a complete noob, but my cousin is a local so he'll be preventing me from being "that guy".

The occasion is my birthday. Not a big one (27th) and that's mostly why I got the idea to come down (great excuse to make something inconsequential into something I'll hopefully never forget).

Staying at Encore and plan is to do EBC and XS on Friday afternoon/night (expecting massive hangover and heavy nap in between). Unfortunately a bunch of my friends bailed due to work/financial restrictions, but I've got a good core of 3 guys and 4 girls. Nevertheless we were hoping to meet some cool people while we were down there to party with. I was at WMC (miami) this year and that was very much the scene - everyone extremely friendly and I made a lot of lasting friends in addition to having crazier nights than we would have otherwise (but then there was the music to force people together). So, is it the same deal in this scenario or are people really reserved to their own parties? I guess what I'm saying is I want to get hammered with people I just met. Always a key to a great trip!

Also, Dave Pappas hooked us up for that friday (related to previous posts). 500 for the couches. I know Indian Dude got $300, and Dave did mention something available for that, but I think we're getting something a little larger (it's not a lilypad). Anyway, just keeping people updated on the pricing.

the second: the girls that are joining us are from the 'Couv. IMO Canuck fans are becoming the Leaf fans of the west. But we can argue that over a drink or eight.

the third: Linden 16 jersey (no, not the awful Hab version), is P.I.M.P. Maybe a Bure jersey tandem would work.
