  • Hip hop Heads

Me and my people are going to Vegas in July. There will be 7 of us (5 guys,2 girls). We are all into hip hop and we would like to keep the whole trip hip hop. Any suggestions starting from thursday to sunday?

i think jet plays alot of hip hop and sometimes opens up a smaller room that plays strictly oldschool 90s rap hip hop. not sure if the still do though. You might wana check out their website or call the hotel/club etc. but most hiphop is mashed up with like high energy/techno stuff.

Hey, this issue comes up pretty often actually. I really wouldn't worry about the music inside the clubs. You can pretty much go anywhere and it's always a mix of everything. One of our members on here Killerfanatics felt the same way, but he got into the vibe of the party once things popped off. It's always a mix, but I guarantee you'll be having a good time with what the dj spins. It's always, hip hop/top 40/some house. But it's such a seamless transition between them that you will like it. Not like some clubs I've been to where they stop a hip hop song abruptly to play a house song, its not like that.

It's probably easier to list which places don't play hip hop.

When I went I would see what Dj was playing the night I was going to be there then I would google that Dj to see what they played. I went to Moon on Friday and really liked the music. All hip hop well I was there and some old school stuff which was good and Vanity Saturday night which was 90% hip hop 10% top 40 but the Dj was awesome!

I agree. Vanity on Fridays is pretty fresh. As Nyce said, I was the same way. Personally with all the people I was with, I didn't care what was playing. I was having such a good time. But Vanity on a friday with Dj Eric D-lux is fresh. He's a dj for Power 106 here in Los Angeles. But anywhere you go theyre probably going to be playing Hip-Hop, Top 40, and House. I would do research just to make sure it's not a complete House night.

And it's not that I hate house music. I'm just really picky with it.

Tao on Thursday, had different rooms, the dj upstairs have a great mix of hip-hop. When I went to LAX on a saturday night they played a lot of west coast rap.

Thank you all for the info. I will be therr in July with a few other military guys. I hope to meet some of you when I get there. MGM Grand. If they play a little techno that's fine. As long as it not fist pump nation.

I think this is something that could be advertised more. I know it can change depending on the DJ and for my group music can make or break the night. We did bottles at Tryst on the Thursday before Memorial Day and it was 95% house and we hated it. I went to Tryst on a Saturday a few years back and it was all hip-hop and Top 40.

Saturday of MDW this year we did bottles at Tao Beach and I think it was 2 female DJs - all hip-hop and Top 40. That night made our weekend. They were awesome.

Is poetry @ Ceaser's Palace still open??? because I remember they were known for being the ONLY all hip hop club on the strip, I heard good things about it too, but if you go to the main major clubs on the right night, the music is so good you wont mind...they could mix fergie with Jay Z and it works somehow, ha...TAO was good for that.

I wouldn't worry about not hearing Hip Hop at the clubs. Most of the good clubs are multi-room and pretty much always have a hip hop section if not in the main room.

Rap and hip hop is a lot more mainstream and everyone loves it, so you will hear it EVERYWHERE!

When in July are you guys and gals going to wreak havoc? We are going july 4th weekend.
