It's good enough for me to change my reservations from the MGM Grand in two weeks to upgrade to a spa suite. Total rate difference is $132 for the 3 days....

I don't know if you already booked it yet,
but i can't say that i would change from MGM to Luxor. Unless you're just by yourself, you can easily split the $132 among your group to be the price extra per person to be closer to the strip action and be in a hotel with more livelier crowd gaming,and nightlife wise.
Not to mention THE POOL at MGM Grand.
Wet Republic discounts can also be sometimes included when you book with MGM Grand

I wouldnt say MGM has better nightlife. When its the winter time - LAX/ Cathouse > 54/ Tabu. Summer time yes there is wet republic and speculation of a new club coming, but right now. Luxor Nightlife owns MGM Nightlife.
