Short sleeve shirts?

first of all hey everyone, this is my first post.
Im going to vegas in august (first time) any have a few questions about the dress code in clubs and bars (sorry bet your fed up of answering them). Ive read the articles on dress code but still unsure about a few things.

1. Are short sleeved shits acceptable to wear in the clubs? as im coming in summer and dont fancy wearin long sleeved ones.

2. If just going to the bars, would sneakers, jeans and a t-shirt (smartish) be ok to wear? or would it still be a shoes and shirt job?

First off welcome! And were here to help each other out so were just happy to help!

Shirt sleeve shirts are fine, if your wearing em for a club try and use at least a nice button up short sleeve shirt. Your gonna wanna rock the nice/dress shoes though! It's hit or miss but your better off not chancing it being your first time in Vegas.

For casino bars you can wear most anything. Depending on the time of day I've seen chics with bikinis on due to the pool parties. But at night jeans, shorts, whatever shoes and shirt will be fine. Hope you have a blast! And be sure to post up a TR when you get back!

I just wear a long sleeved shirt and then roll them up.

Also most casino bars have no standards. they are on the casino floor? I once went straight from the poker table to a bar wearing a sweatshirt.

What about lounge bars such as voodoo etc? would shirts and shoes be needed for them?

Lounges such as voodoo, ghost bar, etc. do have a dress code. Being it's your first time, I'd play it safe. Go out and see what other people are wearing. Next time you go, you can venture out a little.

Lounge bars like voodoo, blush, ghostbar etc have the same dress codes as nightclubs. Casino bars and bars such as fat tuesday or coyote ugly dont really have dress codes. You can weat short sleves but make sure it is a dress shirt and that you can tuck it in. Some clubs are really picky and make you tuck it in before you go in. I would also do what Tom said and wear a long sleave and roll it up, just to play it safe. it is your first time.

A lot of it is also about confidence and how you present yourself. Some have been known to get in with a polo, jeans and chucks but it's cause their familiar with everything and know how to approach the bouncers as well as the hosts. But being your first time done chance it.

I think the problem with short sleeve shirts is that most of em might look funny with dress shoes. Since it's August, it'll be scorching, so you may want shorties. I'd choose carefully!

I have worn short sleeved white dress shirts alone and graphic tees (not ed hardy, affliction or any similar aboration) under linen blazers in the summer. If you look stylish you will generally be OK especially of you have a table. Even consider linen shirts.

It's all about style. Tao seems to be the only club that gives guys trouble, unless you know someone or you get bottles/tables. Other than that, as long as you're not wearing sneakers and a jersey, if you wear it stylishly you can get away with it. But I agree with the above posts, you're better off playing it safe and wearing shoes. I'm with the camp that wears long sleeves and I roll them up. Never fails, never looks bad.

short sleeves are just fine....for example...when I go late june one night I'm gonna rock a short sleave plaid cowboy shirt...but pair it with some crisp jeans and and solid black square toes....shouldn't be an issue. Like Cisco said...it's presentation and confidence.

Your church shoes might look funny with short sleeved shirts...but a good pair of square toed dress shoes (black or brown) will go with pretty much anything.

A nice pair of jeans, chuck taylor shoes, and a button up short sleeve shirt and your good for any club/bar.
