Bachelor party at Tao

Hi guys,

First wanted to say what a fantastic resource this site is. After reading several threads, I've come up with what I hope to be an epic bachelor party Saturday. We're 7 guys going Jun 19. Just wanted to run it by you guys to get some suggestions or criticisms:

Afternoon
-Stratosphere + 3 rides $33pp
-heard their rides were insane

Evening
-Mystere @ Treasure Island $120pp
-pre-drinking immediately afterwards

Night
-Bottle Service $300pp minimum @ Tao
-mostly need suggestions here: sounds like the only way to enjoy Tao is with a table. The host quoted $1350 minimum at the roof and $3000 at the main dance floor. Bottles $450 and up.
-now is the roof the same as the Pool? Also can you move back and forth between the Roof and the Main floor? Has anyone heard anything about the Roof?
-do you just ask for a specific table in advance from the seating chart?
-do you need to pay a deposit or anything, or is money settled when you get in?

the roof is tao beach, personally i perfer it bcause it is less crowded and it is outside! this is a pluse cuz when you are dancing you wont get too hot. If you like to be part of the action then do main room. There are three different levels to tao: the lounge(bottom floor) the main floor (this has the oipum room, and the main room) and the beach (top floor). You dont get to choose which table you want but the more bottles you buy the better table you get AND if you keep buying bottles they will move you to better tables as the night starts to calm down. Prices are discussed when you get to your table but money is handeled at the end, they will take you CC and ID at the begining just incase you decide to dip out on your bill. You can move freely between any floor or room that you want and exit and reenter as manytimes too just be aware that sometimes you have to wait a minute to reenter if the club is full.

Will you be doing any drinking prior to doing the rides at the Strat? I hope not! Lol also maybe throw in a trip to the Rhino at some point in the night. I think all in allthat looks like a solid schedule!

I've only rode the needle at Strat. I did it at night and I have to say that it was pretty intense being that high. I was too scared to ride the one that shoots you off the side multiple times and the claw thing was shut down. Now I see they have some kind of base jump ride. Let us know which you go on and how they were.

I think you can enjoy Tao without a table IF you are only rollin with like 1 or 2 other guys. Once you start hitting like 4 to 5+ people...good luck keeping track and hanging out together that night.

In short, I think the table is a good idea.

someone should stand guard at the table pretty much all the time so, if you got a table upstairs, all 7 of you wouldn't be able to go to the dance floor at the same time. upstairs will be emptier but i imagine it will still be lively.

Ask about the Opium Room. It is usually a little cheaper than the main dancefloor. I actually prefer it since I like the music in the area better.

I'm in the process of booking for a batch party of 8 for the 19th at Tao Beach...everything I've heard is this is the way to go cuz it's open air, hip hop and old school, and still plenty of talent...plus you can go inside whenever you want. I have a hook up setting it up for me. I should know with in a day or two what we are quoted and I will let you know.

Sweet, thanks for all the tips. Sounds like we'll stick with the plan. My bro rode the Stratosphere X-scream that hangs you off the edge and shat his pants No seriously, that and the claw ride looks like the freakiest things I've ever seen.

Thought about the Rhino, but not sure where we'd have time for that. Now, another guys is planning the Friday before so maybe then. I'll be back with a report... if we survive!

Mystere is amazing, but I would rather see Love. For some reason, I don't think Mystere is a show a group of guys would go see together for some reason. if you haven't bought your tickets yet, I believe they have at the tix 4 tonite at fashion show mall.

At Tao, I think the tables on the main floor are better than the roof. The roof just seems to be the area people escape to when the main floor is way too crowded.. I think the main floor is where all the action is at.. but at that price difference, I'd rather be on the roof and spend the extra grand somewhere else on another night.
