I just got back from a bachelor party I planned over MDW for nine guys. Some questions have been tossed my way... so I'll share how a few things went.
To start with, I had four rooms at the MGM through a players club offer. Everyone was very happy with the hotel... it was a crazy weekend there with the holiday and UFC.
Night one... Most of my guys came in later that night. We had some drinks at MGM then had the limo from Olympic Garden pick us up. On their website they have a $40 a man bachelor party deal. It's for the cover, pick up, table and 2 drink tickets. Worked out perfect... because we got a table... place was packed. The tickets worked as a $200 bar credit at our table. I talked to a manager who bumped it up to $400... of course we still spent more. Everyone had a great time. I remember little.
Saturday, We had a table at Pure through Brandon Ring. Brandon was great. I never though getting nine guys into a club that weekend would be so smooth. There was close to a thousand people waiting to get in at 10PM. I walked up to a bouncer... said my name... he said ok, through Brandon... get your guys and lets go. Did not even take 7 minutes. Table was outside... it was crazy. Everyone loved it. Great time. I know Pure is not the hottest place... but it was packed... tons of hot girls. If you have a large group of guys I would suggest Pure and Brandon.
Sunday, I had a table for 4 at the Bank. During the day someone from the light group called to confirm. Later, another host called to invite us to Carmel for shots on him before he walked us in. Great service. Bachelor changed his mind about going to another club. So, I called to cancel... but it sounded like we were being taken care of. I would recommend the Bank.
The bachelor wanted more strippers... so I called up the free limo for the rhino... smooth... went fine and no cover. The place was packed. We stayed for hours... the bachelor had a girl on his lap at all times.
We did one large dinner at BLT burger at Mirage before Pure. A small group did sushi one night... Diablos on the strip another night. Everyone was on their own for food.
You have to know your group... many of my guys have never been to Vegas. They are also more strip club guys then bottles at different club every night. Waiting and paying to get into XS or Vanity did not matter to them. During the day we hung out at the MGM pool all day. They did not want to pay for pool parties. As someone who has done it both... it did not matter that much this past weekend because it was a holiday / party weekend.
Here are some tips that worked for me.
Don't try and plan every hour or every day. We had plans for one big night at Pure and one group dinner. I knew strip clubs would pick us up with little notice... just a phone call away.
Get money up front. I paid for all the big stuff to make it easy. The hotel... Pure... the first strip club. But, I would ask for the hotel cash when they checked in. Pure money on the way to the club and so on. Everyone knew the cost before the trip. I sent out lots of emails to keep everyone updated.
This worked for me... hope it helps. Any questions, just ask... I'm more than happy to help. Everyone in my group had a great time. I left out the dirty details here... but this was one the craziest trips of my life with some guys I have known for more than 20 years. The bachelor called from home last night to say thanks again. But, it was my pleasure.
