Carry on luggage

I'm coming back to LV in about 3 weeks and this time I'm not planning to check a bag at the airport. My shaving creme and like stuff is in larger than 3-1-1 rule's 3oz bottle limits. But through searching some say that security doesn't bother looking at this stuff anyway. What's your experience? Also what about shaving razors?

i had a water bottle in my carryon, and they didn't even notice that..
but my friend had a hairspray in a plastic container, and they made her throw it out since the bottle was too big..
so I think it's hit and miss..
razors are fine i think cause I usually bring scissors and nail stuff with me, and I've never been asked about it. I had a knife in my purse once (forgot it was there), and they made me throw it out, but I was fine to go through with a long metal nail file which imo is just as dangerous...

I would just buy a bottle there? or you can get those shaving soaps? I've seen small cans of shaving gel/foam at supermarkets too if you don't want to risk it.

Just make sure everything is travel size and I think you'll be fine. Worse case you throw it out and buy it in Vegas!

Don't mind buying some stuff there, but I have sensitive scruff so I'm worried about finding the right shaving cream.
