  • Hard Rock Update?

For the AODers that stayed at Hard Rock last weekend, how'd it go? Did you have to pay for Rehab wristbands? How much?

I assume nobody had their luggage searched for liquor? Anyone stay in the HRH Tower - how was it? Any feedback would be great - thanks!

Most opted not to do rehab, but yes the ones who did had to pay. Also, they give 2 wristbands for the other days too. If you have additional people in the room, its $100 per day, per person. The cover at the pool on Sat. was $20 I believe, so theres no point in paying the extra fee. I actually complained, and spoke with the manager about the rehab wristbands, and they not only admitted to changing the policy after I booked, they put it in writing for me. But said "management has the right to make changes" and I would have to deal with it.

I also didnt think the upgrade to paradise tower was worth it. I should saved the extra $20 a night.

I brought liquor in with no issues, but some random hotel guest commented in the elevator that he couldnt believe I got it past security. He said he was stopped, and they refused to let him come into the hotel with alcohol. I also heard Killerfanatics was stopped from bringing in EMPTY coolers.

I didnt really care for the hotel before, but the price was right, so I stayed there. Probably wouldnt do it again though.

Some rooms in the casino tower are updated and some aren't. I lucked out with an updated looking one. Cisco had an older style room, but he had a perfect view of the pool.

Security- most of the time no one by the elevators during the day. As it gets closer to the evening there tended to be a security guard doing key checks. There was a concert Saturday and I heard security by the elevators were very strict about bringing alcohol to your room during that time. Also, this can be a plus or negative depending on your view on safety- but security guards roam the room hallways a lot. When I was knocking on Nyceguys door trying to wake him up for Vanity, security guards were immediately over seeing what I was up to. They strolled by 15 min later as well.

I think most of us were in casino, some in paradise, don't think anyone had HRH that I know of.

Alright heres how Rehab went down for us.

KC, Blib and I got up at 7:30 after coming back from Tryst at 4:30. We got in line and were like one of the first 10 people there. The guy walked by each person and checked their IDs to see what qualifying hotel rate package we had. Obviously we knew we didn't qualify, so the guy checked and came back and told us the same thing. Then moments later he walks around and basically tells us we are cool, and he is going to hook us with some free wrist bands.

2SMR and George woke up late, but they got a hold of Aria who got them the half price $50 deal. The german guys (P's friends) checked in late Sunday at 3. During check in they sweet talked and asked if there is anyway they can check Rehab, and they were all hooked up with free wristbands as well.

All in all, since it was such a cold day.. Rehab would not be worth paying a $100. That might be why they got very lax on the charging thing the last min.

lol I was fighting my moth the whole time to get it out through the balcony window. No luck though. They do go to sleep when I go sleep so it was ok...

I had a casino tower room and I loved it. It was a updated room on the 2nd floor with good view of the pool. The hotel itself was nice and there is a party atmosphere 24-7, I also loved the balcony doors with the pool view cause you can yell out random things to the ladies at the pool. I liked being off strip because the cab rides are quick on the side streets, also they have a bunch of limos outside all the time. Room service was delicious. Oh and you can not take liquor in your water bottle to rehab. They told us to drink it before we get in or put it in our rooms. Btw ROCKSTAR lemonade is awesome.

P.S. I love my new status under my name.

Yeah I did think off strip was an advantage because of the quicker cab rides. I believe most rides avg. $10, and it was the quickest ride Ive ever had from the airport.

The room I had was like a suite. It was huge! It was a corner room, which was nice because we didnt have anyone to the left or right of us. As Dnix already stated, I did have a bit of trouble taking up an empty cooler. Security stopped me and said they don't allow coolers in the rooms. They were also stopping people with cases of beer and only allowing them to bring up 6 packs. This guy had a 12 pack and had to give 6 of his beers away. I went down about 2 hours later and she wasn't there anymore so I ran to the car and grabbed the cooler. When I came back it was only the "key check" security. He didn't say anything.

They key check security was definitely annoying when you are hammered and coming back at 4:30.... what if I wanted hookers roaming my hotel? I guess Hard Rock didn't think about that one

I have to agree with Dnix in the paradise tower not worth the extra money - even though it was further away from the pool, you still heard pounding music all the time. Not good when nursing a hangover. I like my rooms a little more sound proofed than that. Paradise towers were also a bit further walk than the casino - didn't bother me, but I could imagine if you're stumbling & bumbling back to your room, it would be an issue. And security of any sort in the paradise towers? Only saw them once the whole trip by the elevators.
