NHL Awards

So my girlfriends and i are going to the NHL awards on june 23... it's at the Palms... However, we want to stay at a hotel on the strip... From what i've read so far, Planet Hollywood is a hit for the young crowd (20's)... any suggestions? tips? it will be my first time in vegas as a 21 year old lol.

p.s. if you know, where do the hockey players hang out? (after parties, hotels.. etc)

maybe moon or ghostbar then? (sorry i dont know much about vegas) the show is on wednesday. im getting there on tuesday evening and leaving on thursday morning lol.

I agree if you want to see the players out it will most likely be at the Palms since that is where the awards are. I think last time they all partied at Moon/Playboy and I think some were also over at XS??? Trying to think back that far. But yea I agree, so lucky!!!!

yeah... our tickets are supposedly passes to the after party... but everyone knows the 'official' nhl after party is a bore, and the REAL after parties are what goes on after that haha.
wonder if they'll party at moon night before the awards (tuesday) or night of (wed...if moon is open on wed)

Im sure the players will be out and about...we are talking about hockey players, they do anything for a good party! Just have to keep your eyes open, im pretty sure they will be hanging around Vegas the night before and prob after. or Versteeg and Toews lol. I'm more of a Burish and Ladd fan myself. Can't resist a guy who can grow a good playoff beard!!!

We did sweep you pretty well. You had that second game going for you just couldnt hang on. I'm just happy we finally made it to the final round!! Only thing i'm not a huge fan about is the new bandwagon fans, but what are you gonna do.

Big buff was a killer vs. the sharks, that game 3 OT winner was the dagger. even though i hate to admit it, the hawks are gonna take it this season.

which ever team beats my sharks, should win the cup!

Havent stayed at Vdara, but PH is definetly a younger crowd, and might be more of the type of vibe your looking for.

This thread is depressing me. Im a huge hockey fan, but I'll be there and leaving by the 15th.
Two years ago I was there when the LA Kings were playing at the MGM Arena, and hardly anyone recognized the players around the city/clubs. I ended up meeting quite a few Kings+Avalanche at a charity poker tourney+later at the bars, great guys as most hockey players are.

I haven't been to Vdara either, but I would say PH is a lot of fun, hip, and a young crowd. I would agree and stick with PH. I don't think you would be upset. Hopefully you can get a strip view.

+1 I think it won't be as bad if we know the eventual cup winner was the team that got by us...
Plus aren't they playing like #7 seeded Flyers?? Thats ridiculous if they even keep the series close with the Hawks. Its really their cup to lose I think.
