I've got pricing from a bunch of spots for the Friday night bachelor event with ~18 guys. Need some "Vegas math" help incomparing some of the options.
Caveat: I KNOW the position here is to book direct with the hosts, which I hope to do. That being said, I need to understand the real math on this and make a call if the offer I have from an external VIP host is better. I'll obviously give the club host a chance to match or respond.
I have 2 quotes for a big table at one of the major clubs on Friday. One direct, the other from LavishVegas (which appears to be legit based on a search of this board - any feedback otherwise would be appreciated).
Direct VIP - 5 bottles plus taxes, auto-grat and about a 10% tip to the VIP host upon entry comes out to $3k.
Lavish - 5 bottles (one is comped) plus taxes, auto-grat (on all) and "VIP Entry Fee" comes out to $2,500.
Lavish also presented an option for 8 bottles, 2 of which would be comped, that comes out to $3,800. This might even make more sense given the size of the group and BH's will plow through 5 bottles in a heartbeat.
Two questions.
(1) Does the external VIP host meet you at the club and walk you in himself or does someone from the club do this? If it is the latter I expect there is another layer of tip to factor in.
(2) Is there greater risk of getting bumped, bad table, or generally hassled working with an outside VIP? Even if they are legit?
Ideally I'll be working direct with the club VIP and they'll step up and match some of these offers. In the event they do not, the costs might be too good to pass up.
All assuming the legitimacy of the VIP and offer, and limited risk. Or am I simply playing with fire?
Thanks for any help on this. Sorry for the long post.
