Afterhour clubs vs Regular clubs

I hear a lot about afterhour clubs like Drai's.

But what's the difference? Other than staying open later, how is the feel and the crowd different? Is the price in drinks/bottle service different? Music different? layout different? Is it more like an ultralounge?

From the posts I've read the only images I'm getting in my head are junkies, and off-duty strippers, and ridiculously drunk people in their last-effort to hook up.

I've been to most of the regular clubs that Vegas has to offer, but never really ventured into "afterhours clubs".
Is it worth a try? or just a glorified Rave for grownups?

Id say it's hit or miss...a lot of people will be rollin. Ive been to them and had a blast, and I've been to them and hated it.

Best bet is after you leave the club, hit the casino bar to see what the crowd is like. if it is garbage, then hit an afterhours.

Chris, I think you may have gotten the wrong impression of Drais in particular. When I went, I had a blast. It's people who still want to party and have fun after the clubs have closed. Of course you'll get your share of ruhtards that can't handle liquor, but that happens everywhere.

I've been to Drai's and Seamless. It was definitely an interesting experience going to Seamless. They have unique bathroom stall doors. I had a good experience going there.

I've also gone to Drai's. They have two rooms. Both rooms used to play dance music. As of last year, one room played dance and the other room played hip-hop.

Both places gave the impression that there were girls that just got off work.

For me, I don't mind afterhours, but as Snizz says, it's hit or miss. For me, it's been more hits than misses...but only by a sliver.

Anyone have any more info on the after hours at crazy and seamless? Might be something my group would like to check out next weekend. And is Seamless a Deju Vu club now? I think I ran into this during my last trip.

SEamless is nothing more than a strip club the runs an afterhours joint....it's just strippers walking around asking you if you want a dance and shit. From looking at the sight for CRazy horse....Obsession looks the same...that's cool if that's what you want to find.

On duty strippers = not as fun. Off duty strippers = a possibly really good time!

i went to drais last time i was there (3 weeks ago) i had a blast we got there around 230 and started getting packed around 4am i was mainly in the hip hop room since they played good hip hop if you into it but if your into dance music they have the other room which is awesome too, you will get drunk people but its vegas what else you expect

Drai's is good, but not all the girls are "off duty"!

Chris- drink prices are the same as well as cover and all that. And just like any other club you might have to get there early to avoid lines or grease. But Drais is a blast!!!
