  • Pool party search?

I've never been to a pool party in Vegas. Do they pad you down? I'm wondering if they'll let me bring in a bag with my iPod and some portable speakers or at least headphones. Any ideas or experience with this?

They're not likely to pat you down, but they will definitely search your bag. All of the Vegas pool parties have DJ's playing, so there is no need for the portable speakers.

I don't see why they wouldn't let you take your iPod and headphones in, but I also don't think you need them because of the DJ. You would miss the vibe of the party with headphones on, IMO.

+1. Why would you want to bring your own music to a pool party? It's a party, so there'll be plenty of music. If that's ur plan, you're better off going to a regular hotel pool instead.

Plus the music is so loud I doubt you'd be really enjoying your headphones.

What pool/pools are you going to? I've only ever been to Tao Beach and Rehab. Rehab was the only one I was patted down at.

Thanks guys. I hear what you guys are saying about the music, but I'm not a fan of house/electronic music and that's what they play most of the time right? So if I'm going to be spending all day at the pool, there may be some times when I want to listen to hip-hop and feel myself if you know what i mean.

I'm heading to Tao Beach Sat and Rehab Sun.

Sunday is house music day at Tao, so there should be a good mix of everything on Saturday.

It will likely be the same deal at Rehab...some of everything.

I wouldn't take your iPod out there if I was you. I think you'll find pretty quickly that it isn't necessary.

You have to check out Ditch Fridays at the Palms Pool and Bungalows for your first pool party. They have djs all the time no ipod needed. They include DJ Five, StoneRokk and Rev Run. Open from noon to 7 and front of the line tickets are 23 dollars. Always a good time. http://n9negroup.com/ditchfridays/
