average spending money?

Just curious to see how much people plan on spending on a Vegas trip?

I'm looking at a $500 flight plus $500 hotel then thinking about $1000 spending money for a 3 or 4 night trip. The $1000 being the money i'm expecting to burn through with another $500-$1000 if things get crazy. That's also non gambling money.

That's exactly what I like to have. 1k-1500 spending money. Last time I went with around 1k but it was for 5 nights...wasn't enough. ( For AOD I had planned on having 2k to spend )

I'd like to be comfortable spending around $200-300 a night (including what little food I may come across in between drinks)

Throw in BS at least one night in there split between friends as well.

Its all in how you're looking to party. Some people will be spending thousands a night...others will be looking to spend nearly nothing. *coug* Aria *cough* I think $200 - $300 a day/night is mid range.

One thing to keep in mind is cover charges at clubs in Vegas can be pricey...luckily I never had to worry about those thanks to Darryl . So my $200-$300 was with no cover charges :P

it's all relative.......if you plan to gamble, you should bring more....nothing like gambling, losing and then being broke for the clubs.......but even then you can gamble sparingly.....back in the day, i used to get there and start gambling right away and would find i was either up or down quite a bit before i was even there 4 hours......now as i have gotten wiser, i have utilized the pool, facilities, amenities, etc..etc.. and have a rule that I do not gamble before 9pm......EVER........i get there, check in, go to pool, drinks, come back, nap if necessary, pregame, nice dinner, and after dinner i gamble before i hit the clubs.......this particular trip i have $900 in free promo chips from the TI.....they are the "use them til you lose them" type, so that is free money basically......so i am going to bet those, and whatever i win with them, going to throw it all on the nba game wed. night and if i win that bet i should be up about $1700 before i ever set foot in the steakhouse and clubs......if i don't, then i haven't lost anything cuz it was house money........I'll be bringing $3k in cash and have a safety net to pull out of $1k if i am broke for the last night for whatever reason

I was in Vegas for six days, but three of that was paid for by somebody else, so I had about $600 in fun money. I had budgeted about $150 or $200 a day for my beloved Wheel of Fortune slots, and I had really good luck. I won between $100 and $300 a day every day of the trip, so I basically came home with what I had started with (the highlight of the trip was sticking a $5 in a nickel machine, hitting a button, and winning 10,000 nickels). That's not really normal, though, and I would have been fine with $600.
