MGM Regular Pool

I've been lurking for a while and decided to come out of hiding! We will be in Vegas over Memorial Day Weekend staying at MGM. We were thinking of renting a cabana at the regular pool on Friday and doing our own party instead of paying/waiting in line for Wet Republic. Anybody know how the regular pool scene is at MGM? Will there still be music, lots of people hanging by the pool, etc? Any insight would be helpful, thanks!

We're thinking the same thing, WET will be crazy that weekend though would like to think some sort of priority will be given to MGM Guests...

As I understand it, you only get priority being an MGM guest if you upgrade to the Prima account, but even then being it's a holiday/fight weekend, you still may not get priority. Somebody else can verify this but that is the info I got from calling the hotel.

I have not called or asked... but from my experience that sounds right on.

Cant see myself being able to persuade the entire group to splash for the Prima...will have to check out the situation on the day.
