Heading down June 10 wekeend with a continually expanding stag group. It'll likely settle around 20 guys, all late 30's. Staying at Aria. I foresee the biggest problem being the ridiculous number of dude's to manage and try and get into clubs. Understand a number (all?) don't like or want large groups of guys. Totally understand this and ok with carving the big group into 2-3 smaller units. Is this necessary? Smart? Wise? Looking for the Vegas vets to chime in on this. Thanks. I'll obviously connect directly with the hosts to manage it the best way.

Here's the loose trip plan. Any opinions, brutal or otherwise, fire away:

Thu - staggered arrivals from across Canada throughout afternoon and early evening, so likely to freestyle this night and just get us on a few guest lists prior to arrival (Tao is definitely in play). Probable late night / 3am limo pick-up and off to one of the peeler joints (get it out of the way)

Fri Day - spend day recovering and gearing up at either Ditch or Liquid. Cabana or day beds more than likely.
Fri Night - group dinner somewhere (thinking Yellowtail at Bellagio), then bottle service / tables at XS or Bank or Pure. Totally undecided on venue, actually. Want something that isn't all about fake smoke and trance music ... not our scene.

Sat Day - may just rent cabana at main Aria pool and chill watching World Cup in the sun. Old fellas may need a rest for the final push at night.
Sat Night - thinking Bank or possibly the All Access Pass over at Palms. With a big group I'm sure we could scatter across the various Palms properties and cause some damage. Can you combine the AAP at Palms with table service at one of their clubs (thinking Ghost Bar)?

Sun - pour onto planes for 3-5 days of self-induced pain, fitful sleeps, and a healthy dose of guaranteed shame.

    Can't wait!

you might have an easier time breaking into smaller groups. I would say you would have the hardest time getting into / table at XS with 20 dudes. I'm sure it can be done... but it will take some cash.

I might try to book two groups of 10 at Pure... the host there may be more accommodating... maybe even some bottle deals. Maybe the Bank as well. I say shop around... get prices and look for the best deal. Two tables of 10 each would not be bad... you would all still be at the same place and have two spots to call homebase.

    Yellowtail is a great spot...

The palms passes are also a really good idea with a group that size.

The pool plans sound solid as well.

      Thanks Kimball.

You drinking from the Cup because you won it yourself or have a friend who did? I drank from it in the summer 2007 after a buddy of mine won it with Anaheim. Somehow the beer tasted better flowing out of the cup ... though it could have just been all the backwash!

If most of you are in your late 30s you may want to go to a pool party other than Ditch. That's definitely a more twenty-something crowd. I'm 31, and last summer I felt a little old at Ditch.

The guys that wanna do bottle service should set that up, and the guys that wanna bar-hop at the Palms should do the wristbands. Some guys in the group could do both, but I'm not sure why you'd want to pay for bottle service at one bar AND pay the money for the palms pass.

every time Ive been to ditch, Ive been with 30s peeps, and none seemed to feel out of place. But why wouldnt they want to hang with the 20s anyways????

I agree... if you are getting the palms pass just bar hope. I would rather jump from bar to bar there than bottles at the ghost bar.

dnix, I'll be at Ditch MDW so by no means am I saying its a bad move. But I'm with a group that ranges from ages 25-32.

In my opinion there may be better options out there for guys 36-40.

What about Tao beach? Their cabana option looks pretty amazing. Or would a bunch of guys feel out of place being a few years past the newly defined old guy line of 36 years old? I don't suppose a temporary tribal arm tattoo and an Affliction t shirt would that knock a few years off the top?

What kind of rep does the Smith & Wollensky have in Vegas? Eaten there many times in NYC and Houston. Thinking steak is the safer bet for a big group. Would be a waste to hit Yellowtail and then get stuck on a set menu.

We'll definitely just bar hop at the Palms on saturday. Unless the tables were really really good to us earlier in the weekend!

I just LOL. Worst thing you can do is try and fake it.

I would go somewhere else... I would suggest N9NE at the palms or mix at bellagio. I had a great meal at yellowtail also.

If we go with the overexposed arm tat / douche shirt combo we'll have nothing left to make fun of. Except each other. Totally defeats the purpose. We'll just hit Tao beach and take our chances. Maybe a couple of guys will shave their backs, but that's about the extent of the primping.

Kimball - you not a fan of S&W? Ate at N9NE last time I was in town. Good spot, but we're going to be at Palms all the next night. Looking for a different venue for Friday dinner.

No, I like it... but for me there's a few places with a better vibe in vegas. Like Mix at bellagio... Stack at mirage... Cut at Palazzo. The N9NE is my fav. spot.

If you aren't going to N9NE, I would highly recommend STACK at Mirage. Good spot for a bachelor's last supper. Make sure you order the hot rocks appetizer and the tater-tots side dish (sounds dumb, but you will thank me later)
