Hello everyone,
Thank you to all the contributors and JC; this site has been very educational. As there is so much information here, I hope my research has been comprehensive. Please excuse me if I have overlooked something otherwise readily available.
I'll be travelling with a group for a wedding and a bit of an itinerary has been provided. I'll be splitting it up to try to keep it relevant to each forum topic.
On Friday, June 18, we'll be at the wedding ceremony followed by dinner at the Bellagio. Afterwards, we would like to go to a club, likely with bottle service.
I'm hearing great things about partying at XS, but it sounds like our reservation might not be honoured or put us out of our budget.
Tao was next in line, but a recent rumor floating around the group is that it was $1k per bottle per two people.
Pure seemed to be an idea; the groom, bride, and best man had been a couple of years ago and had a great time. Just not sure if it's still as good and they may want to try something different.
Next we were thinking about The Bank. Haven't been able to find a lot of information on it, but the general feeling is that it's going to be quite pricey just because it's in the Bellagio.
So, it sounds like we're going to go with Moon and see what kind of pricing comes our way. If we end up here, at least I can escape to the Playboy Club from time to time.
There will be six guys and four ladies in the group (possibly plus one for each gender). Our age range is from mid 20s to early 30s, not all of us are drinkers (seven or eight of the ten are), and we'll be arriving in whatever we wore at the wedding (though I don't know if this means the bride will be in a wedding gown, but everyone else will be in suits/dresses). We're hoping to do table and bottle service for $1k to $1.5k ($150 to $200 per drinker); this is flexible, but hitting $5k will be too much for us.
Are we on track with an appropriate club, or would you suggest somewhere else or revisitting one we've bypassed?
One of the strategies I've heard for booking a table and trying to keep costs down is to book for the guys, have the ladies guest listed, and then have them join us when everyone's in. Not sure how well this will work in our situation, but would a club give us a table for ten when there's only six of us in the booking? Or would it simply be safer to book for all of us?
I understand that getting bumped or an altered reservation is a possibility for most anywhere we go. How bad is it to book tables at two clubs, confirming both the day of, and not showing at the other if the first is satisfactory?
On an aside, as I'm a rocker and don't care for the typical music at clubs, I'm really looking forward to checking out Wasted Space either on Thursday night after the strip club or on Saturday night. Most people talk about going on Wednesdays instead. Is Thursday or Saturday any good?
I appreciate any guidance offerred.
