  • XS - Memorial Day

Just received word from Patrick Frank regarding XS. Thought I'd share:

"Table reservations with bottle service are 1 bottle for every 3 people, with bottle prices starting at $575 (holiday prices) and up with goose running at $595. There will be a $50 per each person for a table charge in cash on top of the bottle min for holiday weekends. That includes the admission, 3 mixers per bottle, and line pass. There is also a cocktail waitress who is assigned to your section. Tax and gratuity is not included. (Tax is 7.75% and gratuity is at the customer's discretion.)

Only have friday at xs open and tryst friday and sat with no table charge. Only applies at xs"

Is a $50 table charge/person normal? Why does it have to be in cash? Seems a little fishy to me...

lol thats going to be one expensive night.. There are plenty of other places to go in vegas, i know i wouldnt be going there with those prices.

You could get bottle service for 2 nighs somewhere else at that cost

also im sure the "HOSTS" (not to mention any names!) at xs would want a $500+ handshake on top of all ur other costs just to sit somewhere decent there, and not be stuck out by the pool somewhere.

I booked my table at XS for Memorial Day a couple days ago. My contact is the GM of XS & Tryst. I was told that prices for friday, saturday & sunday are $100-$150 per bottle higher and there is a 2 bottle minimum per table, even if it's just 2 people. Yes, tax & gratuity on top of that but he mentioned nothing about a $50 table charge. I had planned to get a table at Tryst Saturday night but having to purchase 2 bottles at holiday pricing for just myself & date, is just way too much out of line. I had to option out for the guest list for that night.

Monday night, he said prices would be going back down, $450-$475, and that I'd only be required to purchase 1 bottle for myself & a date.

No, its not. They want it in cash, because its actually a tip.

I'm just curious to know where you can get that on MDW for that price?

isn't it a bit sketch to include the tip formally in an email? he knows that I found his info off this site and that i would probably tip him. i don't know but i'm getting a bad vibe from this guy and am going to try to book through another host that a friend introduced me to.

Just because you mention the site, does not mean you tip. Do a search on the subject and you'll see we have memebers that don't believe in tipping at all.

I don't like host requesting a tip and it's personally never happened to me, but he's not the only host that does this. It does seem to happen more frequently with XS. But it is the top club right now so that would make since.

The table charge... $500 handshake for the right table and asking for a tip does not bother me. Because if I was the host... I would do the same thing. XS is the top place right now and this is the biggest weekend of the year. If you don't want to pay it... there is someone else who will.

If you want to party at "THE" place in vegas... pay up. Or go some where else and get more bottles for your money and have just as much fun in my opinion... that's what I'm doing.

Honestly, this is another subject that has been beat to death. I suspect PF is not the issue, but rather the people in charge at XS. Notice PF didn't require a tip for tryst. But who knows. Some appreciate him being upfront about what's expected, some are offended.

This sounds a pretty good deal to me, I thought on holiday weekends it was two bottles for a group of three.

I was at XS again this past weekend. It is truly the top spot in Vegas and THE place that most everyone wants to be. They have more demand than tables hence, they can charge more. When I first started to hear of tip expectations that sounded a bit off putting. I suspect that all host tips are being centrally pooled though- and by insuring that someone is going to tip the host can better insure his clients will not have his reservation bumped by someone with the same minimum. In the world of the top clubs either be a beutiful girl, be someone important, be prepared to pay, or expect to wait.

My experieces at XS this weekend were stellar and I 100% believe that its the best place to party in Vegas.

From my experience with XS a couple of weeks ago, the host i got was up front with me on the tip. the tip you give to the host is pooled between all hosts for XS and Tryst. so it doesn't matter who you give it to as it will be split up to everyone (that is what he said). up front he said, the more you tip, the better the table you get. i wanted the dancefloor patio table and was told that $500 tip would be good for that table if i came early, like 9:30 on the saturday night. i was there at 9:30 and my host said they gave away the last two tables (one which was mine) to some guy who pulled out alot of money and paid $1000 tip for both tables and had a min of $8000 bar tab. not surprised they gave away our table as money talks in vegas. we were going to tip $500 for the table and spend around $1700 for 3 bottles, so $9000 is alot more then us. so my host told me, we could get a table inside on the back wall or off to the side of the dance floor patio tables. or if we want our $500 tip back, we can take a day bed type table by the pool. we decided for the back wall table. it was alright. for XS, it is a very nice club, but it seems like more of a club for high rollers.

I went to Lavo on the friday night, more fun there. the place was small, but had a good table by the stage. it was packed, so almost every place in there has lots of traffic.

I've done both XS & Tryst. I don't think I'll ever do XS again...for tables. I went there to check it out and while it's nice, I had better experiences at other clubs. Tryst may be a smaller and older club (hence why there are no required cash tips upfront), but the sightlines are better if you're trying to scope out talent.
