How is MonteCarlo pool? It apparently also has a wave pool and lazy river and a large pool area.
I've never tried their pool, but I did stay at the Hotel32 penthouse suites once, which was very nice. Unfortunately it was during the National Rodeo Finals in Vegas so it was awful in terms of the crowd,

so how's Monte Carlo in terms of the pool and casino crowd during the summer months?

guys, im staying at Planet Hollywood and i've been hearing bad things about this pool. Is it really that bad???

Obviously we will be hitting a couple of pool parties but we will be there mid-week so they will be quieter wont they??

when I stayed at PH the pool scene was terrible. they had a dj and setup was ok, but lacked a good crowd. it was mainly guys or families. the pool its self is very basic. seemed like they spent very little money on it.

Ok MC is a young crowd for sure. I have stayed twice and both times hung at the pool. I don't remember kids (maybe 1 kid?). The ages of everyone when I went were 20's and 30's. I remember a lot of military guys from the last trip. They have a large pool thats your basic pool a lazy river that doesn't require you to have an tube and then the wave pool. They also have a DJ on the weekend. I thought the pool was great for laying out then heading in to cool off. Food was good and the servers were really nice and always around. They have a few cabanas and I think they start in the lower $200's. You have to call to reserve one. We didnt have a problem finding chairs to lay out on but we were down by 11am usually. Only downside is no drinks in the pools but not all hotels let you do that like TI and NYNY that I know do.

Casino wise, YUCK! They need an update to their casino, its way outdated. But pool wise I don't have a problem with it. I always had fun. Their rooms aren't as nice as the other hotels though, but at least their hotel actually smells good.

I agree, Monte Carlo has a decent pool, but the rest of the place could sure use an update! I think Mirage has a great pool too. If anything, stay clear of Venetian's. Last time we went, the water was more green than anything and smelled funny. Nothing a few stiff drinks cant fix, but a shower afterward is highly recommended.

Mirage pool is great, but familyish. I do like Mandalay bay for fun, or Caesars- which has a lot more shade, and lots of areas and types of pools, rather than a "beach".

PH is a poor show and not to be confused with the higher end areas.

I absolutely love MGM!!! It's by far my favorite hotel in Vegas. And you really can't beat the pools there. So many to choose from, so if there is an abundance of kids in one, switch to another. Perfect atmosphere for a younger crowd (21-30ish). Even though the rooms might need some updating (can't really point to anything in specific with the exception of replacing the tube tv's. That didn't matter to me...) I've loved the rooms! And the beds are amazing!!

Just out of curiosity, how many hours per day do you guys typically spend at the pools?
How about if you're at a pool party like Wet or Rehab?

When I was there, it felt like they didn't really WANT to have a pool, but had to.

Any updates on the Rio pools, for guests?

Anyone know what the current Palms key card looks like?

I was gonna get one from a buddy to use at Ditch, but it might be too old...

Anyone got a pic of the current card?

Maybe this needs its own thread?

I usually get there at about 11 and leave at about 4-5. enough time to go back, take a nap, then get cleaned up for the night club.

Man, that's hardcore. I could never soldier through 4-5 hours at a pool party expecting to hit the club at night that same day. But then again the air in Vegas does seem to give people an extraordinary resistance to fatigue, sleep deprivation, hunger, and most of all modesty.

You are hardcore! Guys have it so easy!! It takes me forever to get ready to go to a club. If I leave a pool party at 4 or 5 I have NO time for anything but shower, make-up and hair. There is NO "nap time". Ugh I hate boys...lol.

i still don't get why it takes girls that long to get ready to go out it's crazy.

when i was in vegas in june. both nights i literally got back to the room after dinner(late dinner) and had like 20 mins to shower and get ready and i was surprise how fast i was able to get ready and have time to check over stuff before we had to go downstairs.
