Taxi transit times

Hey now!

How's the transit times from hotel-to-hotel on Thursday-Sunday night on a taxi? Slower than usual I'm guessing, right?

In particular say I want to go from the MGM to the Encore/Wynn on a Saturday night between 11pm and Midnight on a taxi. How long will this ride take me? I know the lines for cabs plus traffic can be pretty hectic around those hours. Do the cabbies take back roads or should I tell them I just want to get there as fast as possible?

I have never waited more than a few minutes to jump in a cab. The one time we encountered a huge line at HRH... my friend tossed the cab guy $20 and we were next. Tell the cabbies you want to get there fast... most of the time they avoid the strip... jump on the freeway behind the strip. Even on a busy weekend... I would say 10 min from MGM to the wynn.

Actual time in taxi shouldn't be much more then 15 min. if that long. Your taxi driver should be driving down Koval st. to get from MGM up to Wynn. If you ask them to take you down the strip it will be more $ & time.
