  • Anyone been to Pure the last couple months?

We are thinking about getting a table on the outdoor terrace, but would like to know what kind of music is played outside. If you've been to Pure recently please post what kind of music was being played outside.

I did ask one of the VIP hosts and got the usual response that you get from every club... "we play a mix of house, top 40, techno, dance, hip-hop, bla, bla, bla"

Looking for more something a little more specific.

    Thanks!

Thanks... looking forward to hearing what it's like out on the terrace. What kind of music / vibe out there. Since I could end up out there MDW.

This was a year ago, but outside is usually a house/ambient/techno vibe. It's hip hop and R and B in the two rooms downstairs as well as the PCD lounge.

Thanks mysticsavage, thats what I was wondering. One of the hosts tried to tell us it was mainstream top 40 outside but everything I read said otherwise. I think the hosts will tell you whatever you want to hear. We said we liked top 40 and hip-hop and he said "we play mostly top 40 outside." We had another guy in our group call him and told him we like primarily house and he said "we play mostly house outside."

I wish these guys would just be honest. We don't want to drop $2K-$3K on a table and be forced to listen to music all night that we're not interested in. I guess they'll do anything to fill their tables.

It is a fun club, and now that I think about it, it was more top 40 in the main room of the club with hip-hop/R and B in the side rooms. It was really crowded there on my last trip and the only place you can really move around comfortably is upstairs (great view of the strip, too!!). If I was going to recommend an equivalent experience, hit the Palms up. You can go in between clubs there when you reserve a table and, for me, it's a lot more fun there. Enjoy your trips, folks!

Avon, I haven't been to Pure in the last couple of months but wanted to chime in anyway. The last time I was there in May of 2008 on a Saturday night, they played all house and electronic music on the rooftop patio. I love house and electronic so I really enjoyed it. The view of the strip was amazing. The inside of the club was divided into more than one room with the biggest playing hip-hop, RnB, and Top 40.
