  • Bachelor Party Hotel

Guys need some help picking a hotel for bachelor party weekend in august. Haven't been there in a few years. Group of 6, all around 30 years old. Want a younger more party atmosphere and not worried about cost of hotel. Casino floor, pool, and some decent bars are important. also don't care about taking cabs and not looking to site see, so we do not need to be centrally located.

Not interested in Palms or Hard Rock.

Basically I'm thinking Cesars, Mandalay bay, Mirage or Planet Hollywood (although i heard pool sucks). Leaning towards Mandalay at the moment. Which one of these or anything else would you guys and girls recommend?

    Any help is appreciated.

M Bay is to out of the way, i would stay at Mirage or C Palace.

Ive stayed at mirage a few times all good vibe cant comment of CP, though the times ive been there found the hotel way to big.

          wynn or ph

both are classy, both are parties, both have great pools and great 'scenery'

Might want to consider Rio if you're looking to spend less $$

Stayed @ MB and you'll love the pool especially Moorea topless beach. Planet Hollywood has a great Vibe I love it. Never been to the pool but looked huge through window. Stayed @ Mirage rooms where outdated in 2003 don't know if they have been updated since. The pool area was great at that time.

If using pools as your main decision maker I'd choose M.B.

+1 on sweatshops question. Why not Palms or Hard Rock? Seems like that would be two of your better options if you want the younger, party vibe - each has some nicer rooms now with the HRH tower, Paradise Tower, and Palms Place.

I think the Wynn or the Palazzo is your best option if your against Palms and Hard Rock.

I stayed at MB a few yrs ago and would not suggest it for a bachelor party. The regular pools there and the hotel in general was filled with a mix of families, children, and elderly. Granted this back in 2005 (before the pool party craze started).

If money is not an issue I would pick wynn/encore or venetian/palazzo.

Top notch rooms with good dining options and along with pools/nightlife.

I have stayed at all of the properties you listed except Planet Hollywood. Here are my thoughts:
Don't stay at MB. Although its a great property, its not a party vibe at all, the casino floor is really quiet and no upbeat feel to it, and the bar scene is virtually non-existent.

Ceasar's has everything you are looking for, as does Mirage. The Mirage rooms have all had a recent facelift, so don't worry about that. Call and ask about the price for a 2 Bedroom Hospitality Suite (1800 sq ft.) Two queen beds in one room, king bed in the other, flatscreens, i-pod docks, nice wet bar. You can't book them online, but you can get them if you call. They are fairly cheap as well ($400 a night). Mirage also has Jet, Revolution, and Rhumbar, which are all decent spots to grab some drinks.

If money isn't an option, I would stay at Aria, Encore, or Venetian as well, but you won't go wrong with Mirage or CP.

I think if HR and Palms are out you should go for PH. Young vibe, decent casino, nice location.

I think mandalay is too far down. I would go with Mirage. It's my fav. place... stayed several times. The rooms are nice and updated. Pool is nice... there's also bare. Nice bars / club and food options. I also like the vibe there. In the middle of the strip. It's my go to place.

Guys, thanks for all the input. I think based on what you guys are saying, I'm ruling out Mandalay and deciding between Wynn, Mirage or cesars.

When I say I wanted a young crowd, I probably really meant to say i just want to make sure I avoid an incredibly old crowd which I encountered at a stay at the Hilton three years ago, complete nightmare. literally surrounded by senior citizens all week.

I said no palms or hardrock because I've been inside of both, and as far as the actualy casino floor I was not impressed with either, specifically Palms which has a very lackluster casino floor. I"m srue there are good places to party there, but I just wasn't dying to stay at those places considering what you get for your money. I'm going with several frist timers, and wanted to take the crew to a nice place.

So based on what I"m hearing from everyone hear, i think i'm ruling out Mandalay like i said and deciding between Cesars, Mirage and Wynn. anyone have any opinons of which one of those three for a bachelor party weekend for 30 year olds?

Between Caesars, Mirage and Wynn, I'd say go with Wynn. It's by no means filled with senior citizens, and it has the upscale vibe you seem to be looking for. Caesars and Mirage are both nice, but unless you're getting a room there for significantly less than at Wynn, I'd say just stick to Wynn (or Encore).

I like Mandalay also, but it's pretty far down the Strip from the rest of the action.
