Clubbing for a couple: Tryst vs. Party Bus?

Hi there... I'm taking my girlfriend to Vegas on 5/15 to celebrate her graduation. I'm trying to figure choose between the following two options, but am open to other suggestions:

1) Tryst - From my research, this seems like it would be my ideal pick. However, I'm not sure I can justify the expense of bottle service for 2 when my girlfriend can barely hold 2 drinks. I'm also considering a simple vip host to get in or try getting there early.

2) Party bus - Looking at Nite Tours, which I know has extremely mixed reviews. I realize that the clubs wouldn't be the hottest (Bank, Studio 54, Pure) but with some luck, we'd meet fun people on the bus. This is a plus since we don't know anyone else in town. With bad luck, however, we'd end up on a bus full of dirty old men. Also, it may be more fun to check out multiple clubs without worrying about lines.

Any thoughts?

I think most members would agree that partying at one great club of your choice is much better than trying to hop from club to club on a party bus, simply because by the time you walk in, grab a drink and get a feel for the place you'll be bounced outta there to the next place, and never really get to enjoy it.

If you don't want to get bottle service, just contact the hosts (P. Frank for tryst) to get on the guest list and go early to avoid the lines. It may be not as crowded and some what low key early on in the night, but it'll give you some quality time with the gal pal as well as time to check the place out.

Also I think Tao and lavo do 350 bottles on thursday, which is a little bit cheaper than Tryst.

One guy and a girl aren't going to have too much trouble getting in anywhere. If you guys have never been to XS or Tryst you may want to take her to Tryst. Get there early and you could GA on Fri or Sat. They will do a guest list on Thursday and you guys can avoid cover and line. Bottle serve is going to run you $450++ so your looking at $600 and they should definitely do a one bottle minimum for 2 people. If you do pay cover its $30 for guys and $20 for girls.

If I was in your situation, I would choose the partybus. cause like you mentioned, you would meet other people on there, and have other people to party with if you chose to. I've never been on a Vegas party bus, so I don't have any clue if it's a reputable company, or how good it is, and I ahven't been to studio 54 or those clubs either, but I'm sure if you are with the right people, any club will be fun.
This is just a guess, but I would think the ratio would be about 60% men. Do you have to buy the tickets well in advance? maybe you can just look at the crowd of people going and decide then.

I go to clubs with just one guy sometimes, but I find it a little boring unless we are at the "honeymoon stage" and it's still exciting.. but if we've been dating for awhile, I don't exactly want to hang out with just my boyfriend at a club where we don't know anyone. I guess you could always meet another couple and share a bottle, but that could end up awkward when the bill comes, etc. or getting them on the same page on the amount of gratuities, etc.

I assume you're arriving Saturday and leaving Monday? If you do go the bus route, perhaps on Sunday go to XS since it's open so you experience a top club.

Or maybe you can post your trip date on the get connected forum, and there will be other couples going at the same time you can hang out with for the club.

Thanks all for the excellent responses. It sounds like I just have to decide whether we want to be in a group or go it alone... obviously a personal choice. If I do the bus, I'll post a review.

I go to Vegas quite often just my girlfriend and I. A bunch of times now we've had dinner at TAO and it works out well cause your waitress or waiter will stamp your hand with a line pass after dinner. You can then leave dinner and go predrink or whatever you would like to do before heading back later in the evening to go to the club.

The stamp gets you past the entire line and you do not have to pay cover. I have literally never had to wait longer than 1 or 2 minutes to get in with the line pass stamp. This is very convenient when you come back around midnight and the line is really long.

I've noticed some people are not impressed with the food at TAO, but I've always really enjoyed it. My girlfriend and I aren't too picky I guess. It's pretty reasonably priced too in my opinion, especially since you're getting a line pass and comped admission. Definitely go where you think you'll have the most fun though, since everyone's opinions and styles are different! For me, TAO is always a great time.
