Been forever since I've been on this forum; glad to see things are still going strong. I was out in Vegas last August and met quite a few JC'ers, including NYC... and obviously had a blast partying with Jack's crew at the Bank.

I'm heading back out there in August; will be cutting my trip to Rome short because my little brother is competing in a grappling competition in Vegas on the 14th.

If anyone else is going to be around during that time, I'd love to do a meet up. Last time I flew straight from Barbados with some local rum, so I guess I'll have to bring something with an Italian flavor this time.

Not sure where I'll be staying yet. We did the Palazzo last time and I liked it but thought it was a little too far north on the strip. I know they were just finishing up the city center hotel last summer so maybe that'd be worth looking into. Any suggestions from you true-blue vegas experts are obviously welcome.

Regardless, pool parties are hot on the order and we'll have to make it on the spyonvegas.com site again. I'll update this post when I know more details about my lodging, club schedule and how many people I'll be bringing.

Hope I get to meet a few more people from this board. JC.com was the glue that held my trip together last time, so i'm obviously a big supporter. Take it easy fellows.

That's really cool. I don't compete in any MMA but have really started to enjoy watching and understanding it. And I can't imagine any better city to compete in. I've watched two UFC events out there and both were incredible, certainly blew UFC 111 and new jersey right out of the water. The competition my brother is attending is called the Las Vegas International Open Jiu-Jitsu Championship, at ibjjf.org. He went to the grappler's quest in orlando last weekend. Have you competed in Vegas before? There can't be any better city to blow off steam after it's over.

I haven't had the chance to compete in Vegas yet.... Deff plan on it though... The tournament I might be doin is actually Grapplers Quest too

^^ he did well in orlando but just received his purple belt this weekend, which is a blessing and a curse. competition is going to be that much harder in vegas, but a victory would mandate that much crazier of a celebration.

I posted my trip dates a couple months back and wanted to update the plans since we're nearing our departure.

I checked out of the Navy on terminal leave last week and will pick up my DD-214 and other paperwork the day we leave for vegas, august 12.

My group consists of 3 girls and 3 guys. I will be flying with two of the girls from florida. My friend Justin will be joining from Montreal. Carrie will be coming from Indianapolis. And my brother will be in town for the NAGA championships.

We arranged with Dave Roberts for a B1G1 deal on Friday night at Jet. I don't care if Jet is no longer a top tier club. B1G1 for friday is a great deal. Saturday, we negotiated with Brandon Ring for a B1G1 on the terrace at Pure. Once again, I'm very satisfied with the deals that were offered. We got offered a deal from Jason Habel at Vanity, but might just do Tao Beach for Sunday afternoon. (girls drink free)

We have limos picking us up from the Airport and bringing us to Aria on thursday, then for 2 hours on the town before Jet on Friday, and again for an hour to pregame before Pure on Saturday.

If anyone is going to be in town that weekend and is looking to share a table/bottle service, please let me know and we can see what can be arranged. My group ranges in age from 24-28, all working professionals who want to wile out for the weekend. Except for me of course, as I will be celebrating unemployment before Graduate school.

Thanks again to everyone on this site for contact information that allowed us to book these deals. Before finding JC.com, I used to go out with no game plan and grease bouncers, hoping to get past the line... only to find myself fighting through crowds to get up to the bar so I could have the pleasure of ordering a watered down $20 mixed drink. My, how the times have changed... haha.
