  • Bottle Service - Huh?

    Hey guys,

So.. I'm doing my first crazy weekend in Vegas the first week of June, and just wanted to educate myself on the 'rules'.

    What is bottle service?

What do you normally ask for?

Is this something that is worth it for 2 pretty hot young ladies, or should we just buy our drinks a la carte?

    Thanks!

    What is bottle service?

At most clubs in Las Vegas sitting down is a luxury. To reserve a table at most clubs you must order a bottle of liquor or wine. These bottles can cost anywhere from $150 to $10,000 depending on the club and the night. Also there is usually a 3 person per bottle limit, meaning you can’t get one bottle for 4-5 people.

      Thank you very much!

So I am guessing, if I want to go somewhere like Pure, it might be more worth my while to bring more people with me, because it's not going to be very 'economical' for the two of us.

Well you have to keep in mind that standing in heels for a few hours can really put a toll on you. Getting a table is still not a bad idea. Sure you can bring more of your friends but remember that you will meet new people as well. you might find a feww cool friends to hang out with that you may invite to your table.. Getting a table is always a plus no matter how you look at it...

Are you sure you haven't been to Vegas before? You look awfully familiar. Like this girl I met at Prive and again at Body English, unless she has a twin sister or something.

I guess I need to pick and choose my nights that I want a table. We want to hit all the popular clubs, and it's gonna get pricey real fast over four nights.

            Thanks again!

Haha, wasn't me! I am a Vegas club virgin. I have been to Vegas, but not while I was old enough to even look like I could get in clubs. Funny, I DO have a twin sister, but she looks nothing like me!

If you're going with a group of girls, and this is based on experience, if you and your ladies are looking great, you should get comped at most of the clubs.

If you're going with some guys, bottle service is a great option for a place to sit down (it is a luxury!!), splitting the cost of the bottle service and getting the guys in when you get in.

If you're going to do bottle service, I recommend doing it at a more expensive club (anything in the Wynn for example or LAVO or TAO at Palazzo and Venetian) but making sure the bottle minimum isn't too high for everyone to pay for.

                    Hope that helps!

Yeah, I have spent a lot of money so far on special 'outfits' (hahaha) that, in the best way I can say it, would potentially pay for themselves. We won't have any guys with us, and we can potentially be a group of 8. (I'm going with a gf, and there is a nother group of mutual friends going).

Thank you all for your suggestions!

And we want to hit the more expensive/elaborate clubs.

I haven't been to Tryst or XS yet (going to try them out this week) but here is a list of what clubs I've experienced that are great for a girl's night.

Jet - @ The Mirage. It's a huge club. Great music and a great place to get free drinks(gotta hustle them boys). They also tend to have a waitress going around with shots and you pay however much you think they are worth. They have three separate rooms with different music so they definitely have something for everyone. You'll definitely get comped at the door and you'll get in ridiculously fast. My friend and I waited for two whole minutes or something like that.

Moon/Playboy Club - @ The Palms. This club is off the strip but has pretty much one of the best views of the strip and Las Vegas you could imagine. They have a retractable roof, so you're literally partying under the stars and makes for a great atmosphere. If you get there earlier, around ten thirty or so, you'll more than likely get comped. The Playboy Club is small and really intimate, but the decor is worth a visit. Moon has a great look and decent music. The music wasn't as memorable as other places and the floor is not exactly high heel friendly. The drinks are more expensive, but if you ladies do it right, which I'm sure you will, then you have nothing to worry about

                        Tabu - @ MGM.
This isn't a club but an ultra lounge, and has decent music. The venue is small, but it is an ultra lounge and not a club, and there is a very noticeable difference between the two. If you walk by Tabu, usually a host or bouncer will approach you with free entry. It's either a place to start your night or end the night. Tabu is known for their afterhours as well, but I haven't been that route. This isn't a place to really meet a lot of guys (if that's what you're in to) but it is a nice place to relax, enjoy a drink and some fun music.

Wasted Space - @ The Hard Rock. I'm a bit biased, but I absolutely LOVE this club. Always comped entry, great music with DJs that have great transitions (some clubs I've noticed have terrible transitions between songs which can REALLY kill a dancing vibe). The bartenders are gorgeous and always have a light waiting for you when you're in the mood for a cigarette. The drink prices are great too if you're looking to byob (buy your own drinks in this case). The feel is more rock related, so if you're more in to straight hip/hop then this might not be the club for you. They have a rock/rap/pop mash up that always makes for great dancing. Great place to meet guys.

TAO - @ The Venetian. This club is one of the more promoted and high end of the bunch. It's got an amazing and elaborate decor. The music is great, but the night I went to the club was pretty dead. It was around 11:30 so I'm not sure where the crowd was that night. The bartenders were kind of shitty about getting to you when you wanted to get a drink and the bathrooms are upstairs (just fyi). However, the atmosphere and the people are pretty much amazing. I'm sure it was just an off night when we went, seeing as TAO is a HIGHLY popular venue. You should bring a free voucher (you can get these at the mall or inside one of the shops inside the Venetian, it's a free promo card) just in case you have a cover enforced.

Christian Audiger, The Nightclub - @ Treasure Island/TI. It's small and not a place to spend your entire night, but to start off the night - it's perfect. Free cover and free drinks for most nights. The club has an intimate feel to it, but with free drinks - you cannot go wrong!

Prive - @ Planet Hollywood. This club I would definitely get on a guestlist (I used the JC recommended Logan - who was absolutely an awesome guy, definitely use his services if you're going to try out Prive). The club has great music and the place is pretty big. There is an escalator up to the club and once you're inside, you'll be welcome by a huge brightly lit pink bar, and men on stilts walking around. It's got a good atmosphere, but good luck trying to find even the tiniest of ledges to sit down if you're having some feet issues. (Except for the huge round couch outside the main part of the club)The bathrooms are a good place to have a sit and regroup though. Drink prices are average, but if you're shaking it - the drinks come to you! Great place to meet guys.

Well I hope that was informative. Just talking about my past experience makes me even more excited about going in two days!

Great recap. There is a thread for this already. Yes great looking Girls have all the fun and pay next to nothing but that's how it is every where really. Vegas thinks if the got the great looking girls the guys will follow. True enough really. If your the kind of girl that is OK with HOOKING for drinks from guys who are hoping to get some Vegas is your play ground and i just like many am OK with this. I still give girls drinks at my tables all the time. I just ask the waitress or my VIP host to bring me the kind of girls (hair color, size, cloths, nationality, number of girls, age, ect.) we want at that time and they always come willing to have drinks with us and some times more. I mostly do this for friends i am with because i am more into the independent girl who likes to spend her own money and have her own space for her and her girls.

I am definitely not up for hooking for drinks, I have a boyfriend and I am just going to have some innocent fun. My group of girls are trendy.. probably somewhat above average, but we're not a bunch of models. I won't feel too hurt if we don't get comped.

                              My take on the clubs

I can't remember how many times I've done it, but I never go in without it (unless it's just me and then I'll say hi to a friend working at a place and go in).

I thought I'd throw in a list of places that I have or like to go to:

Pure: the first big club I ever went to. My birthday weekend made it the worst night I ever went to and it only got better from there on. I've met so many nice people at that club that work or worked there and still keep in touch. Plus, the best guy I trust in Vegas worked there (still works for Pure Management).
It's great because it has multiple rooms, different views and different kinds of music. It IS busy though.

Tao: I went here on my actual birthday night. It was the toughest place to get into especially as I didn't do bottle service AND our ratio of guys:girls was not that great (about 2:1). I found it tough to navigate around and was constantly told to shuffle from one place to another because I was "in the way".

Cathouse: great afterhours joint. I went there after going out on a Wednesday.

Drai's: nice place considering now that they do both house AND hip hop. Finally.

Body English: one of my most favourite places to listen to music. It's a much smaller club compared to those on the strip, but everyone always looks like they're having fun. I love their Saturday and Sunday nights.

Tryst: I really like this place. It's not too big, not too small. There's a healthy amount of women in the place, which makes for a good time.

XS: To me, it's a bigger version of Tryst. It's good. But, they're a little strict on everything (I think because it's new). But there's an ample outdoor area with seating and I think at the moment, it's the biggest nightclub in Las Vegas.

LAX: some like this place, some don't. I love this place. I find the service to be great and the music to be pretty good too and it's huge.

Christian Audigier: hmmm...some nights it's good, some I've seen not so good. I don't know what it is, but even under Tangerine (it's predecessor), it's seemed to struggle, but it could be because it's across from Tao.

Tabu: great place if you don't want crowds and it did get packed (especially on Mondays)

Jet: HUGE. Several rooms. I felt like I was in a warehouse, but it's nice they have variety of music.

Mix: nice ultra lounge. They have really affordable bottle service and a great place to pre-drink (the cheapest by far is to make a run for LEE'S...)

The Bank: I went here only once when it was called "Light" and it was DARK. The ambience hasn't changed much, but it's got a nice layout and the cool part about it is there's a ledge you can stand by and overlook the dancefloor and table service areas.

My picks (just my own opinion): Tryst, Pure, LAX, Body English and XS.

I can't remember if you've got guys going with you. Regardless if you have a boyfriend, as long as you're cool with the guys that invite you in to their table and look like the type that will ditch them as soon as they run out of liquor ("bottle whores"), you'll be treated well. It will be tougher though, if not impossible to be invited into a table (though I have invited guys if they and their girls are cool people).
