TMZ has learned the executors for Michael Jackson's estate have signed a huge deal with Cirque du Soleil.

Co-executor John Branca tells TMZ, the first show will open in fall of 2011 -- and will travel throughout North America including the Staples Center in L.A. ... the same venue where MJ's memorial was held.

The show will be heavily focused on dancing -- honoring the legendary moves of MJ. It will also feature Jackson's songs and have the trademark Cirque du Soleil acrobatics.

In 2012, a second show -- in partnership with MGM MIRAGE -- will open in Las Vegas which will be far more theatrical with emphasis on technology and 3D. "It will be a theme-park-like show," says Branca.

Sources say the shows will be worth a fortune to the estate. Cirque and the estate will split costs and profits 50-50.

It should be great. I think it will turn into the most popular show. People overseas also love MJ. I just wonder what casino the show will call home. MGM / Mirage has not said yet.

Ohmigosh, this is awesome. I can't wait! They should just keep it in one place like Vegas. I dont like travelling cirque shows.. their sets are not as great.. anyways, still very excited!!!!!!!!
Smooth Criminal would be such a good song for a Cirque show, and all of his ballads of course.

oh nice! i wonder which one?? possibly the city center properties? or maybe mandalay?? they should think about Mandalay to get more people to go over there.. i doubt the shark tank is a huge attraction for non-hotel guests..
i doubt it'll be circus circus..

I was reading Mandalay may be the spot... since only the lion king is there now. City center has elvis... while love and "o" make a ton of money.

About AOD... I wish I was going... would love to meet more members. I had this bachelor party planned for MDW weekend before I knew about the AOD weekend. I wish I could make it out back to back weekends... damn real world.

I wonder if Elvis is good. I don't know anyone that's seen it yet. My sister got me a ticket for Lion King, and I found it really boring.. i fell asleep during it.

Hey, you never know.. if you can afford the time to go, there'll probably be some good specials coming up that would make it worth the while.. You can tell your buddies you're just doing some planning/research for the bachelor weekend.. aside from AOD, sounds like MDW will be THE time to go..

They say the MJ show will be at the Mirage... I guess that means Love will end... or move.

Or do they mean an MGM Mirage Hotel? I took it as the Mirage.
