XS or Vanity on Friday April 30

Hey wanted to get people's input on the following:

Friday April 30 we are thinking of either hitting up XS or Vanity. Plan is to do bottle service with 9 guys. Which club should we hit up XS or Vanity? Is Vanity better on a Sunday or Friday?

Also, how much have people paid for a booth inside at XS and a dance floor booth at Vanity.

We are heading to Vanity on the Friday night but no idea how it is as it will be our first time.

Our table we are looking at about $3k from what I can tell from the host. We have 7 guys and the host said it would be a mid-range but very nice table.

3k seems high for a minimum there. 7 guys shoud be 3 bottles. 3 k is more like 6-7 bottles which is roughly a bottle per person. XS wants 5k for the best tables on Saturday. 7 guys should be fine with 3 bottles anywhere and a 4th will get you a good location. Similarly 3-4 bottles for 9 should be fine. I personally prefer XS.

How do I handle that with the host then, but still make sure that we can get a good spot ? I might try to get in touch with him again.

How much to tip is a hard question. I think $200 is generous for a regular weekend if they are helping you out. But, if you need a particular spot $50/pp at better places isn't unreasonable. However, I think moat tables at Tao on the weekend have been going for $2-3k per night spending minimum so your quote is kinda high in my opinion if its not for a kick a** table. Its essentiall 6-7 bottles for 7 people if you figure $4-500/bottle.

How much does the moat area at Tao usually run on a Thursday night? Anyone have any good contacts that would hook it up?

Here's a thought guys...

Book the table for say, 4 people. It will lower your minimum. Then the other guys can just get in on the guestlist or something, and meet you at the table.

Booked table service for this Saturday at XS (Thanks dnix for the great contact). The Host was straight forward in the amount of tip needed for specific tables. We are paying a $500 tip for the dance floor patio table for 9 of us, on top of the 3 bottles. If you want dancefloor inside, it will be from 8 to 10 K bar tab. this is a saturday night. i assume friday night would be a bit cheaper.

im going to vanity on friday and it got a table there four 4 people he told min 2 bottles for that night which start at 475 each plus tip and tax didnt worrry about table location much but thats what my host told me, i have not been to vanity either first time but friday should be good night

yup I went through ***** who told me it would be two bottle min which should end up running around 1200 w/ tax and gratuity
I'm assuming it might be a shitty table though, how much do you think it would take to get a decent table? can we just tip the host or would be looking at a ridiculous table min?

from my dealings with my host, he was up front on what tips and tables minimums were needed for tables. with no tip, you would get entry level tables. i assume these are the cabana ones outside or tables off to the side outside. dance floor patio or back wall inside was $500 tip. dance floor tables, there was 8-10 K minimum bar tab. this is for saturday as i think friday is a bit cheaper. best to ask your host.
