  • Ultra Lounge / Casino Bar Hopping

For my upcoming trip we plan on doing a night where we hop from place to place just to grab a drink or 2, basically like a bar crawl. (Or anywhere that wont have a cover) I had some places in mind, but was looking for suggestions for some of the better lounges and/or bars that are worth checking out, here was my tentative plan.

I was also trying to go for places that has cool views or were outdoors.

    Start
    Mandarin Oriental (Mandarin Bar)

    Fontana Bar (Bellagio)
    Carnival Court (Harrahs)

    Parasol Up/Down
    Finish

Are there any others in Caesars, Venetian, or Palazzo that are cool to stop by? I'll be staying in Mirage so I am pretty sure we will have checked out Revolution by that point.

Caesars has the Cleopatra's Barge, which is basically a bar and dance floor set on a boat floating in a pond. Indoors. It is spectacularly cheesy, and a lot of fun. Crowd tends to be middle-aged, though.
    Epic trip was epic.

Mix on top of the hotel / mandalay bay. It's like 60+ floors up... I think it's the best view in Vegas. There's also outdoor tables. I have been up there a few times. I only had to pay a cover once. You might be able to talk your way out of it or find some free passes. Or, the $20 may be worth the view.

I love Mix it's my favorite Ultralounge, and the view is to die for. I recommend the outdoor seating if available. If my memory serves me right cover starts at 9pm or later. I've always gotten in free.

Also Fontana lounge @ Bellagio has outdoor seating overlooking the fountains.....we enjoyed this so much we blew off dinner ressies that night to stay and enjoy the evening.

Haven't tried it yet but on our list for May the lounge on top of Paris Eiffel tower to watch the sunset and the lights to come up on the strip. Hear that you can do the same at the top of Stratosphere but not sure of the atmosphere at this lounge.

Give us a TR with review of your choices.

editted to add. sorry didn't read OP thouroghly before answering. I think there is a charge to get up the Eiffel tower lounge. Also I can't remember the name of the lounge in Mirage but it is towards the front of the casino... we enjoyed getting trashed here if you look up at the glass ceiling you can actually see the reflection the Fire Volcano...kinda cool when your trashed.

I like your suggestion of Mix, however it is all the way down the other end of the strip and I feel it will take too long to work our way back to mirage after that. Plus I hear that the new Mandarin bar at mandarin oriental has comprable views...

Or just get the monorail up to Excaliber and it's not far to City Center from there.

Mix is much higher... and since it's at the end of the strip... it gives you the best view. You see the whole view of the strip. Take a cab... It's worth it. Start there and work your way back to Mirage.

+1 I agree start down at this end of the strip take the tram over to Excaliber/NYNY after, have a couple drinks there. Then work your way down to Mirage... every hotel has a cool/semi-cool lounge to have a drink in and if you don't like the vibe take your drink in hand and walk or taxi to the next one!!! My favourite way to explore different hotel/casinos in Vegas and with a drink in hand no less!!!! Have fun!

Mix def has a nice view, but it won't get good til late. If you start there, depending on what time, it could be pretty empty. I know a lot of people like the center bar at the hard rock, pretty good vibe there. Cleopatra's Barge is hilarious. I remember walking by it the first time and I was drunk as hell, and I freaked out when I saw the ship swaying lol.

I like GM Joes idea of drinking your way through the hotels.

If you are going to be drinking at Bellagio/Fontana lng, then when done grab the tram from Bellagio down to City ctr they have a stop there. Hit up Mandarin lng (is it open yet?), then get back on the tram and take it to Monte Carlo (or walk it's just as fast and not far). Stop in the Brew Pub @ Monte Carlo then walk on down the strip and cross Tropicana (really this isn't that far of a walk). At Excalibur they have a tram that goes to Mandalay Bay (caution 2 trams here only 1 goes all the way to M.B.)

Now making your way back up the strip I might recommend the lounge at Polo Towers (between MGM and Flamingo). I've been wanting to hit up this lounge since 2005 and haven't made it yet (if you go let me know you opinion).

Those guests interested in checking out the Vegas nightlife need not go far. The Hush Lounge, located on the 19th floor of the towers, is a sleek, upscale lounge thats pushing the envelope of the local party scene. It also provides live music and a 180-degree view of the Strip; by day guests can view the majestic Spring Mountain Range, and at night, they can check out the Bellagios fountains as well as the glimmering lights of the Strip.

Then after leaving Polo Towers make your way up to Harrahs Carnival Court, with a mandatory stop to check out Planet Hollywood I love the atmosphere there the only lounge with a view here is the view of the dancers on the stripper poles hehe.

Just a few ideas......to save a +15$ cab ride. Why spend $ on a cab when you can spend more then twice that on drinks....LOL.

I'm very interested in your trip, remember to come back and give us a TR.

That Hush Lounge sounds pretty, cool, tough to find reviews on it. But it looks like it charges a cover from the get-go, what gives!

The Polo Towers are timeshare owned so they may be trying to keep out the Vegas strip rif raf (like me).

But I think a lot of the lounges (not clubs) advertise addmission, however I've found getting into some of them early you can avoid cover....and there lies my problem I hit them up before dinner and end up subsituting drinking for dinner blowing off dinner ressies....but isn't that what Vegas is about.
