  • Bare @ Mirage vs Regular Mirage

Hey guys, I will be staying @ Mirage on a saturday-tuesday in a few weekends. I plan on chilling and doing day drinking outside at the pool, but was wondering if the regular pool kind of has a bit of a party vibe as well, or if all of the youger crowd pays to get into bare. I would rather just avoid the cover and bring a few of my own drinks to chill at the regular pool, but I would feel kind of weird if it was all family oriented.

Yes I am aware Bare is topless, but I have also see that it is like sardines in there and I want to relax and chill. (I would rather leave the sardines feeling to the clubs at night)

Could I have a decent time chillin by the regular pool.

Also are the prices for cabana's/daybeds different from the regular pool and Bare?

Yes, Mirage regular pool has a fun vibe to it. Cabana prices are not expensive (in fact, they may be free if you call out in advance and reserve one). We had a big group of 15 guys for a bachelor party last summer, and we got a cabana at the regular pool on one day and had a blast. Bottle prices were super cheap (for Vegas prices), as bottles of Ketel One and Captain Morgan were around $150. There will be a few familes there, but there will be more people under age 40 having a good time.

The regular Mirage pool is one of the best in Vegas, but not what I would call a "party atmosphere." There will be kids out there as well as older people and everything in between.

You should definitely avoid Bare on Saturday if you don't like a crowded atmosphere, but Sunday, Monday and Tuesday shouldn't be overly crowded.

Also, you can reserve a sun chair at Bare for a very reasonable food and beverage minimum and avoid cover.

In order to get the cabana, do I have to get there 1st thing in the morning? (If I reserve)

Yes. You usually need to check in by 10:00 a.m. or so. During the weekend we there in July last summer, the cabanas were totally sold out. I went down to talk to the cabana manager at around 11:00 and he told me they were still sold out. However, I offered him a nice tip and guaranteed him that the 15 of us were going to spend a lot more money than the family of 6 that had reserved the cabana, but hadn't checked in yet. A cabana magically became available and we had a great day. Two morals to the story: (1) Get there early to make sure that your cabana isn't given away like this; and (2) Be creative if you are told that the cabana's are sold out on the day you want to get one.....nothing is ever sold out in Vegas.
