Orlando Trip

Heading to Orlando the first week in May for a conference. It will be a midweek trip so will miss out on any weekend festivities but does anyone have any suggestions on places/events/restaurants/clubs to hit up after the conference each day? fly in Monday May 3 and out Friday the 7th, staying near the conference center near Universal Studios.

Downtown disney is pretty good. I'd skip Universal, maybe hit up Island of Adventure altho compared to the disney parks they're not as good or as much to do.

I've been planning a trip to WDW in Sept. and am sad to say PLeasure Island at Downtown Disney is closed. So Dissappointed since we skipped it the last visit. Alas we do plan to drink our way around the world at Epcot.

wow crazy! but it is connected to downtown disney so im sure the places just moved down the walkway, and im sure something will come of it, it is disney

Thanks for the suggestions. Man how could you close a place called Pleasure Island. Sounds like I'll definately be checking out Downtown Disney.

Do your research before driving there according to all the website all of the clubs have closed. The only bar you will find is in a restaurant. About the only bar being promoted by others online is a dueling piano bar on the Boardwalk area.

After close to 20 years in operation, Disney's Pleasure Island is undergoing a major overhaul. They have closed the Adventurer's Club, Comedy Warehouse, 8 Traxx, Motion, Mannequins and BET Sound Stage. Restaurants/shops are planned.
