Thoughts on the Palms losing its luster

Over the years, I have always planned on Hard Rock and Palms as go-to places, whether or not I am staying there. The last couple of times at Palms I have found it to be kinda dead...is the vibe gone from that place? It is certainly still intact at Hard Rock. I feel Palms has kind of gone to the Ed Hardys if you know what I mean...

(Case in point, that stupid show Millionaire Matchmaker the other night, there was this dumbass Johnny D or something like that, a total Jersey Shore guy, and he brought his date there)...lol

I thought that since before my first trip. There are just so many better places on the strip now that I don't even like going to the Palms clubs.

LOL, I keep hearing about this episode but I've yet to see it. I've actually played poker with Jimmy D a few times in LA and Vegas and he's just as big a tool in real life as he probably comes off on tv.

Another thing about the Palms that irks me is that I always have issues walking on that slippery wood floor when I have my hooker heels on,

I do love Nove though. I will keep going there just to go to that restaurant.

Someone already beat you to the punch (pun intended). He got his skull bashed in this past summer in Vegas and now apparently has bodyguards with him wherever he goes. Not too surprising considering he's said to owe a ton in gambling debts.

Totally agree. I hate the Palms. Love the rooms at Palms Place, but other than that - I can easily never step foot there again.

Except maybe for Perfecto.

True, but at least Hard Rock makes up for it in nightlife. Palms is iffy.

I agree Palms is iffy for the nightlife. The crowd at the Playboy Club was borderline raider fan meets beach trash. However, I thought the Palms pool on par with Hard Rock. I didn't say they were good. I actually enjoyed Encore's pool.

well...yeah I have to agree with the above. Addicted and I are staying at palms place thru the sat night of AOD weekend, b/c it looks really nice and we do like Ditch and Rain on fridays. I'm also excited to check out the spa at PP (the palms one is nice, but this looks kick ass) so that should be fun.

The gambling is poor, in my opinion, whenever I've played craps there-2-3 times-it's always a bunch of DBs not knowing how to play but want to look cool-and the vibe is lacking overall. I think it will be a good spot for us for what we're doing though. It probably wouldn't be a place I would go with my SO though, b/c we like to hang around the hotels we are staying at.
