  • Strategy behind VIP wristbands?

This is not a thread to ask if/how the wristbands work, I know they do. I just got back from Vegas and they did work...like a charm.

I'm just curious what the logic is for these clubs to sell such products XXXX and other sites. I have a curious mind and when I'm missing the point behind something it bugs me.

EDIT: I'm not gonna say what it cost, where I got it from or what the wristbands granted access too. Some people thought I was trying to advertise so I am removing those details. Hopefully the people who know about what I am referring to can chime it. To be honest, I think the less people know about it, the better the chances the program continues and the more likely I'll be able to use in this summer

I was with 4 other guys, the only alternative if it hadn't worked would be to spend on bottle service or wait in line. Maybe tip a bouncer to get us in, but we would still have to pay cover.

Were we just lucky that they worked as well as it did for us? Was it a slow time of the year? Is it a limited time thing that comes an gos?

Can someone walk me through Vegas Business 101 and explain the logic that leads these clubs to offer these wristbands?

Thanks guys, this forum was a great resource when planning my trip.

Ha ha. I was wondering the same as you and then I read it again and was like.....what. If it is legit I would like to know as well but he's a newbie like me so you never know what we will say.

Lol. After reading my post again I see why you would think it's an advertisement. But it's not. I started one other thread before I left for my trip asking if they work and people here told me it did.

I guess the real reason I'm curious is because I was planning on going back in the summer and wonder if this is something I should bank on considering it worked the first time or if I shouldn't count on it working. Like I said, I just don't get it.

FYI. The passes were for Tao and Lavo. There have been other threads from other users about them in the past.

I'll edit my OP so it doesn't sound like an ad.

Hey, I didn't mean to come down on ya. I think it was one of those "too good to be true" reactions. I'm going to be there fight weekend and anything helps (I can't imagine they would work then). I honestly don't know how and why they would work so effectively with so many unwritten rules in Vegas .

Hello Mx5... could you please give me the process which entailed getting the wrist bands for lavo and tao... i personally have never done them... ive either done bottles or guestlist... how i see it you paid 32 bucks at vegas dot com with your plane ticket or hotel deal maybe... then picked up your wristband at venetian hotel then maybe they put it on ya... did you have to wear it for four days straight?

I think at this moment that a wristband is a bit more official than just some free pass card... cause those things are known to come a dime a dozen... and if your wristband worked then... it will most likely work the next time around... Others from the site have also used the palms wristbands... which have worked for them with no hitches... but to be honest i think those are the only two places that have them... i may be wrong... on our way to see zumanity at nyny some promoter slapped a few wristbands on our girls and said come by Rok after the show...

MX5 ... i just had a realization while eating adobo...

vegas dot com probably makes a small portion of the thirty two bucks and gives the rest to venetion... the club makes a certain amount of that and is happy that your not going to another club and is hoping that you spend some money on drinks... not everyone knows about researching and getting something like a wristband so it still is unique and vip... but the day when everyone has a wristband, they would have to do something new cause there wouldnt be a line outside cause everyone would have access into the club and there would be no line...
