Its pretty cheap, me and a mate are just looking for a decent hotel, close to the action. Ideally we want a hotel that will I've found Ballys for £27 p/night during the week. Good deal or should we shop around?

I'm not sure what equates to in dollars, but a few members have stayed at Bally's. In my opinion, it location is fantastic. Right in between Paris and the Flamingo which is across the street from Caesars and the Bellagio. Rooms are meh (according to Cisco) but if it's cheaper than others, I'd say do it. You really don't want to spend a lot of money on the room itself because you'll be surprised how little time you actually spend in it.

Yeah Bally's is good for what it costs. Rooms are decently sized and its a great location.

yeah, good deal.. awesome location. i've seen the rooms go from $39-49 during the week there. it's also pretty easy to get upgraded there.. I believe the north tower is the newer tower.. Perhaps you can reserve it for now at that rate, as long as it's refundable, while you shop around for a better place.

You should try Planet Hollywood. they have some good deals, and with the "coupons" e.g. one free bottle of liquor per night, it may make it on par with Bally's rates, plus PH has a better vibe..

it's usually just part of one of their package deals. i think this deal is fairly common. it's about $69 during the week and includes other credits too, like a gaming credit, bottle of liquor per night and a funbook.

i've stayed there - location is awesome - price is decent for location. rooms are on smaller side, but so is the check you're writing!

everyone agrees, GREAT location, price is fair for what you get.

North Tower standard rooms are nicer and newer but South Tower rooms will have the better view (of the Bellagio Fountains if you're lucky).
Try to sandwich your way to one with good view or to North Tower room.

Last time I upgraded to North Tower room, and it was worth it. Oldschool small bathroom, bed was super comfy, room was clean and a good size. (Room comes with dresser, tv, vanity table, work table, couch, large foot-of-bed ottoman). You can tell its age but it's definitely still pretty nice considering the price.

Did i mention the how comfortable the bed was? That's all that mattered.

This is true, however I tend to spend a good amount of time at the hotel itself. When my wife and I go to LV we consider the pool and a place for breakfast. For instance. But considering its you and a friend, you don't need any candle-lit meals lolz.

I'm staying at PH later this week, actually. You can check their website for promotions. IIRC they had a 15% off a 3-night stay going on using the promo code SUMMER15 . Or, can you use priceline.com, expedia.com, travelocity.com websites from across the pond? They will have deals all the time.

If it's a couple's trip, then hotel and room matter. If it's your boys' Vegas trip, then who cares.
