Clubs dead and gone/memories

My first thought on looking at the thread title was also Bikinis. It's amazing how far clubs have come. My first trip to vegas was bikinis and coyote ugly. Embarrassing now, but still a good time.

Anybody who can remember when they used to turn the "Range" steakhouse at Harrah's into a nightclub on Friday's and Saturday's is a pimp. The night I went in there, they did free drinks for all ladies the last 15 minutes of every hour. And they still couldn't pack the place.

It was the perfect marriage of cheap booze and low standards. Man I miss that place.

My brother used to tell me about studio 54. I guess it was the place to be about 8 years ago or so.

The last time I was in Seven I ended up poking smot with these huge Samoan (maybe) guys who I still see from time to time out at clubs in the VIP area. BEtween drinking all that and the high powered smoke, I went nighty night in a bean bag chair in one of the rooms (a red themed room if I remember right)

I woke up to security carrying me out and setting me into a cab. Luckily they took good care of me because I was in bad shape.

RA used to be great, Dollar kamakazis on thursdays. There was on in Rio too that was pretty good. RuM Jungle and 54 used to be solid spots, but they are like the Sahara and Falmigo of Casinos, getting old and tired,

No kidding. Got my first ever bottle service at Rum Jungle in either....a long, long time ago. I remember thinking it was preposterous that they could charge 80 bucks for a bottle. LOL.

NBA player Kwame Brown once bought me a bottle of champagne in Ra. I'd done some media work with him when he was in high school and he remembered me when he saw me. Poor guy was 19 years old, in there by himself, and looked really intimidated. Pretty funny looking back on it.

Just talked for a bit. Both of us standing on the edge of the dance floor, bottles of champagne in hand. He left with a chick not to long after that. His entire game consisted of stand there, have attractive blonde walk up and ask if he's in the NBA. He says yes and they are out of there within 2 minutes.

My first time going there to party was around 03.. Light at the Bellagio was my favorite back then and probably is one of my alltime favorites. Too bad it's lifecycle ended. Don't care for Bank at all.
