Are polo shirts considered collar shirts?

I was worrying about wearing jeans out but thankfully this site has cleared that up. But this has created another question for me which is..... are polo shirts like abbercrombie and ralph lauren accepted as collared shirts by door staff?

Umm depends on how stylish the shirt is. If it's a preppy look/plain polo .. then umm prolly won't be good for clubbing unless of course you're dropping mad dough.

When I went this summer I wore a ralph lauren polo every night. I went to XS, Moon/Playboy, and LAX. Nobody ever said a word to me about it.

You could go to napkin nights website or spyonvegas and look at the pictures and see what the guys are wearing.

+1. Same thing happened to my buddy. Had to go back to the hotel and change. I wouldn't risk it.

I've never had a problem, but I wouldn't really put my shirts in the same class as a department store polo.
