Difference between Buy 1 get one comp and Buy 1 get 1 free

So planning our next vegas trip and have came across a couple hosts/promoters who have told me I could get either Buy 1 get 1 comp or But 1 get 1 free. I have done the Buy 1 get 1 free before (which we all know really isn't free lol) but have never heard of the get 1 comp. Could anyone shed some light on this for me abd tell me what's the difference?

same difference... comp is short for complimentary meaning free so ppl just say things differently

see that's what I thought, here is what he said...
"I can do the buy 1 Get 1 comp bottle of Absolute, Skyy, Stoli or buy 1 get 1 free." That's what confused me.

The first thing he is saying
Buy any bottle, get a bottle they mentioned free, So even if I am drinking Gin/Whiskey the 2nd bottle would be the vodka.

The other is
Both the Same bottle
