hahaha...i dont know if i would wanna go that far...although, i was already considering getting A and O in Greek letters because it means Alpha and Omega, which I really like the literal meaning of that, so I guess adding a D to that wouldn't be such a far leap!

everyones pretty much given you all the advice you need already so i'm a little late but i'll throw in my 2 cents. i have a couple big ones and theyve all healed at different rates. it really depends on your artist, i had one artist go really deep and it took longer to heal and he recommended i use Black Cat tattoo stuff to keep it moisturized. my latest artist went lighter told me just to use non-scented lotion and it healed quicker. id say don't be in water for prolonged periods of time for at least 1-1.5 months just to be safe. also make sure you eat before your appt, bring some sugary candies with you to, they help if you start to feel kind of faint. hmm, what else....oh ya always use unscented soap when your cleaning it in the shower, i made the mistake my 1st time by using scented and it stung so badly. enjoy getting it done! they're very addicting and it'll be nice to be able to show it off in vegas.

how long after the tattoo until you can get it wet in the shower?

In the shower is fine as long as you dont soak it in the water. You can shower about 4-5 hours after the tattoo if you have to just make sure your very gentle with it and you use unscented soap. Also do not soak it!!!
