hey there, how long are you staying, and are you on a budget? I sometimes travel low-budget, but sometimes do it in style.

I think table service if you were with at least one other person is better, rather than solo. I'm sure you'll meet other solo travellers that would split a bottle with you.

I guess a main objective is to get hooked up, and I think if you are standing around trying to get the attention of a bartender without bottle service, and staying at a hotel with a clown in the front, and circus acts throughout the day..your chances are slimmer unless you have really nice shoes. I know the hotel is just a place to sleep, but it's a lot more charming you're staying at at 4* plus or a hotel with a cool factor like MGM on the strip compared to staying at the Riviera or hooters.

Whether you do it in style or budget, I think you should get a room on the strip, perhaps bid through Priceline, and then ask once you get there, ask if it's possible to get a complimentary upgrade (without the $20). If she says no, then sorta show the $20 under your credit card and say, is there really no way you can get me a better room. and these days, I don't think $20 is enough cause I think there's more risk for the clerk, unless the hotel is hurting..

Your budget after hotel is plenty for one person to have a good time... but what Kori says makes sense.. if you're going to do table service... it's probably better to split it with at least one other guy if you can find one... and at least that way you can entertain a group of girls between the two of you.

For the hotel, Hard Rock is fine + $20 trick and/or just being courteous and charming. Part of it is about luck, getting a nice front desk clerk, but it never hurts to ask if they can help you out with an upgrade. Use that british accent to your advantage!

Most importantly what do you want to do in Vegas? If you tell us that we can tell you where your money will get you the most memorable experience.

          Are you a gambler? if you're not really a gambler, that's a
pretty big budget unless you plan to do bottle service every night or buy a new watch.

Definitely watch a show. I'd recommend Love or Blue Man group if you're watching solo.

You may want to check out Spearmint Rhino somewhere in the middle of your trip. That visit may dictate the rest of your budget..

I know you are settled on HR, but since you're there for six nights, I think you should try a hotel on the strip at least a few of the six. As long as you switch on a weekday, it should be easy to check in early since you'll have to check out before noon.

Based on your budget, stay at Venetian end of strip. I know hotel is just a place to sleep, but I'd rather do it in a large room in a nice bed with high thread count sheets and remote operated blinds opener.

I'd rather be on the strip and going into bars based on what you see, and who you see going in there..

Have you been to vegas before? I usually have a lot of fun just walking down the strip from Planet Hollywood area towards the wynn. going in and out of places, having drinks, watching live stuff around harrah's. we usually end up meeting random people and drinking margaritas or at karaoke...

Other than at the tables/bar/club or walking around, the best place to meet girls that are fun I think are at the video poker at the casino bar. and umm, you won't have to buy them a drink cause they will be getting free drinks from playing there. lol.

if you wanna meet guys, I often see guys meeting other guys here too, or at the pool by the bar too.

It might be fun for you to check out one of the top clubs such as Tao/XS/Tryst, but do bottle service at a smaller scale club. sometimes the clientele is a lot more fun at these clubs.

You have a lot of time to plan, and I'm sure you can find somenoe on here that would want to split a bottle.

and unless you plan to gamble a lot, you shoudl cut your budget in half, and use the remaining three to plan another trip out there.

can't wait to read your TR.

wow, i type a lot. oh, what kind of food do you like?

right thanks sooo much for the advice your a diamond lady !
will try and answer your questions ,
never been to vegas before , or the states , so was hoping to do it right the first time as sounds like an awsome place to party .
not a gambler , fancy learning craps as never played it but apart from that no big plans to gamble
              Not after meeting men !
your idea of splitting the hotels is food for thought , will 100% look into that .
this is going to sound so up myself , but not to worried about splittijng the budget in half , the reason being , i have had 3 weeks off in 6 months , and i also missed xmas .
i will also only be home for a month this time , and then away for 3 or 4 again , + this is on the british govenment , if i work 183 days out of the country i get all my tax back . i am upto 220 days already this year .
what is the best way to sort out bottle service please ? we dont have it in UK , and i am completely in the dark .
Sorry to be a pain in the ass .

everybodied been great , thanx so much .

forgot the food bit sorry .
i love all food , i travel all round the world , and usually try most things put in front of me , had some wierd and wonderful stuff turn up when i couldnt read the menu lol,

              best regards Will

                pps -
                just read your message again

your so right about the beds and large room , been living in a shoe box onboard here for months( bedding changed once a week ) + no bath , only a shower , so to me a long soak ina big tub is a luxury not to be missed either .

Thanks once again for your help

                best regards Will

Will you're going to have such a blast!! With that kind of money to splash around you'll do fine.

Kori has said almost everything there is to say - she's a star!

The steaks in Vegas are fantastic, even the cheap ones down town. So have a carnivore fix whilst you're there.

I think she's right, have a few nights on the strip - explore around then head over to the HRH for the last couple of nights to hit the clubs there.
Go see LOVE - it's amazing (unless you hate the beatles, but in that case you should be shot!)

Do some touristy stuff, there's heaps to do in and around Vegas. We went for ten days and interspaced clubbing and tourist things.
Hoover Dam and Valley of Fire are a nice little day out in the car, takes only about 4-5 hours to see them and have a little walk in the desert.
Look round all the hotels, the lions, tigers (and no bears) are cool to see. Ride some roller coasters too :-D
We spent a lot of happy time sat in the hot tubs by the pool - it's a good place to chat to random people too (nothing kinky, just vegas talk)

A big fancy room is a great idea, there's plenty that have jacuzzis too - plus if you do get a girl back there she'll be impressed
Halloween AOD #4 trip - I survived!!! (I still can't quite believe it!)

Cant say enough how you good people have helped , my plans havnt completely changed , still doing a few dive bars , and getting seedy , but going to see the other side as well ,
if nobody wants to hook up and share a bottle , so be it .

                    keep the ideas coming

right now off to get wasted in Africa , ship alongside in Pemba Mozambquie and i aint had a beer for a month

                      hey brit sailor

try a cabana or a pool side bed as well in one of the "European" pools. I really enjoyed the pool scene and you will feel pampered as hell. if you slip the guys at the admission a couple of hundreds and ask them to ship any lonely ladies to you as well, you can be sure to have a great time.

also, consider going on a helicopter ride to the grand canyon. be sure to go at sunset so you can fly over the strip when they turn the lights on, its awesome. I recommend maverick for heli rides.

been reading up on your posts and understand you are not necessarily a tittie bar man, so no, spearmint rhino is not a place for you. if you do want to try it out, rhino is the best imho.

also, try to stay at the strip for at least a couple of nights, as Kori suggested.
I'm the one on the right, unfortunately

butn will bear it in mind

Awww, I like your attitude Will! That's kind of sweet. Be chatty and open and of course buy a girl a drink, but no need to buy her affections!

Grand canyon does sound awesome - you should def do that. Not got the cash for it this time, maybe anther time for us!

Plus you don't HAVE to got to a pool party to sit by the pool! Lol. I hear the flamingo can be a pretty cool pool to hang out by - it's open to all, where as the other main hotel pools aren't (apart from the party ones and the European/topless ones!)
