Really? They're out of their minds if they're calling USA's Pros defeating Canada's Pros as the biggest upset ever. Miracle on Ice was pure amateurs beating the best team in the world [since the USSR's squad beat NHL champs & All-stars]. Of course, it IS ESPN, a network that's been nothing but ridiculous in their hyperbole.

+1, its almost as comical as when steve young called T.O.s performance in the super bowl "heroic"....apparently steve needs a liitle lesson on the definition of Hero!

Yea it wasn't even close to being a biggest upset ever. These are all pros, and that type of upset is never going to happen again. Eventhough skill wise the Canadians were better, you can clearly tell that the Americans and skate with them, out hit them and still make plays. Not even close to being a big upset. Just an upset in a qualification game.

its really not much different than a last place NHL team beating the best NHL team in one game, if it was best of 7 then maybe it would be an upset.

Well maybe there will be a real miracle when team germany defeats team canada. But oh well. I'm an optimist and can't really see that happen.

I know, i'm sorry!!! it's just that some of the vancouver fans are such poor winners.. and poor losers too. lol. just watched a bunch of idiots knocking down mailboxes and newspaper boxes, and picking fights with tourists wearing russia shirts after the shootout win of canada v switzerland game last week.

I am still in disbelief that Germany lost 8-1. I thought my boy Greiss was going to shut em down!
