Mix Vs. VooDoo Lounge

Looking for a good venue for 8 guys between 26-30 to let loose for a bachelor party. Read a little about these two places and wanted others opinions. I'm interested in VooDoo as I hear that they have a all you can spill cover/party for somewhere between 75-100 for the night, but also hear that Mix is the best view. Hoping for something that would have easy entrance for a group of dudes this big.

Mix's out door area is tiny compared to voodoo's, view is better at mix but not by much

What night are you going? I went with my wife on Saturday to MiX for dinner. The dinner was great, the view is awesome, but the actuall lounge was dead.

The view at Mixx is fantastic but unless you're going on a friday or saturday night, don't expect much to be going on. I would choose the Voodoo.

Thinking of going on a Thursday. Flight arrives at 6:30 pm and think we'd make it out around 9:30pm. First night of the trip.

Voodoo seemed to go "older" when I was there, I stayed at MB so did Mix twice between room pregame and club, nice place for a drink or 2 but wouldnt be sure about staying a whole night there.

Depends where you are staying, I wouldnt pay for a cab to Mix unless you had backup plans down that end of the strip in case it is a bust.

Also depends on what you plan to do the rest of the trip. I assume with a group of guys you will at some point hit the Palms clubs for the easier access (unless doing tables all nights), and if thats the case you will get a similar view from Ghostbar/Moon

If you do Voodoo on a Thursday let me make a suggestion about your plans. Do McFaddens in the Rio early, they have Beerfest Thursday, drinking games, cheap specials, great place to meet girls before you go upstairs. And you also get to get a vibe for how crowded Voodoo may be before you drop $75-100 for the special to be in an empty place.

i've been to voodoo twice, both on Saturdays. advantage of voodoo is that if you get dinner there, you have free access to the night club. we had an excellent time on both occassions and i would recommend it. i don't know bout thursdays though.

I've been to Mix early evening both times and it was slow...seems to me to be a lounge more then a party bar. Mix may not have a DJ mid week. I'd think a bach party would enjoy Voodoo better.

Thanks for the tips. Being the first night of a long weekend we really just want to make sure that we can throw some drinks back without worrying about lines. Staying at the Mirage and saving the big money nights for later. Voodoo seemed adaquate. Any other venue suggestions would be appreciated.
